Any chance to bring back old Karma's kit (on a new champion for example?)

Remember Karma? The old one, before they reworked her?

I think her kit would work so much better today than it did when she still existed. Reasons:

  1. The support items such as Spellthief's Edge would actually let her get the gold she needed to function. She always lacked the gold to buy items, holding her back from being as effective as the other supports (I think mainly just because she didn't have as much CC as the popular supports at the time).

  2. Game knowledge has increased enough where she could actually rely on allies now. Another problem Karma used to have was relying on her allies and their positions to do her work effectively. She was rarely played, and consequently a lot of people didn't really know how to play with her on their team. With the recent release of Bard, I think Riot believes game knowledge has increased enough to where your allies can be expected to know what you do.

Side point: Her new kit is actually different enough from the old one that they can both stand alone. The Qs aren't all that similar, especially when factoring in the mantra differences, W changed from a slow/speed zone to a delayed root, and while the Es are the most similar, the new one has a speed boost attached while the old E was just a very strong shield. The passives are completely different, and even Mantra is not the exact same on both kits (old had two charges and a significantly lower CD).

So what can be done? I think it would be awesome to rerelease old Karma's kit, even if it's on another (i.e. new) champion. Maybe her theme could even be carried over and the new champ could be from Ionia also (Zelos, anyone?).

I remember her kit being ... really bad. The only unique aspect was the damage/heal ability.

I wouldn't mind seeing a tiny bit of her kit on a new champion, but some parts of it should be left in the grave.

I think if they put Karma's old kit on a new champion, it would probably be an AP Bruiser. Old Karma's passive buffed her AP as her health fell. A Bruiser would be more likely to survive being low health than a mage.

The lack of mention of Mid Lane True Karma is aggravating.

Honestly speaking I always saw True Karma as a short range passive-aggresive midlane range that her intended support role, with good an bad matchups. She basically had the same function, a agressive, defensive or mixed supporty pseudo bulky mage depending on the situation, but better thanks to the gold midlane had. She excelled at midlane as a counterpick against melee like Talon and Diana. Heck, even Zed if she could have lived that long could have been a favorable match up for her.

Her old passive has to go, Rito doesnt like and I admit its a bit OP, but that power can go to make W a bit more offensive.

Aside from that, her old (true) kit is way better that generic squishy mage N°3 AKA Scarma the Scam Karma.

I dunno. Their kits are still similar enough that they would be too samey. specifically, both of them having mantra would be pretty lame.

The reason they made it so that karma can have a better ult is because the possibility of having two mantras back to back meant that her abilities had to be underwhelming. Or at least the mantra effects.

Regardless, I find her new kit to be a lot more engaging, and while her old kit also had the "each ability can be both defensive and offensive" thing, I have to say her new kit really makes me feel like I can make plays, which is something I appreciate.
