Katarina is just straight up badly designed, that's her problem

She's got 4 damaging abilities and they're all technically. Included with the most snowbally passive of all mobas' history. Luden's echo doesn't exactly help either.

There is literally no point in nerfing her, it would change nothing. The only way to fix this champ is to give her a massive rework, at the scale of Sion, but due to so many people maining her, that would be impossible. Just focus your balancing on other parts of the game, and let us play draft in the meantime.

And no i'm not saying she's op, because some appearantly thought so.

Her only real problems are twofold:

Incredibly short cast time for abilities; she can blow an entire EQW rotation in a few seconds. Most burst champions take far longer than that to execute their burst rotation, and/or have to pay steep resource costs for it.

Her passive: as a resourceless AP assassin, CDs are theoretically supposed to be her limiting factor. But full 40% CDR combined with her passive means that Kat can spam abilities in a teamfight without undue worry about running out of mana, etc.

Remove either one of these and I believe Kat can be worked with. If I had the choice, I would kill the passive. Kat is supposedly a master of blades, the short cast times for her abilities reflect this well. It's the passive that doesn't seem to fit and makes her incredibly hard to balance.

Well can you post something about that for me? I mean there is something about these kinds of forums about everyone disagreeing with me, and then when someone else posts the same everyone agrees.

Though I honestly think more needs to be done, i'd be fine with the removal of her passive.

Without any further information, I'd guess that's because you tend to go full metal exaggeration. Very few champions deserve a total rework. I mean, look at Sivir ; Numbers aside the only mechanics change she got was to Ricochet, yet (at least to me) she plays very differently now.

A few small mechanics changes can go a long way towards changing most champions.

"in a few seconds" is a gross understatement. She can blow her entire rotation of spells in about half a second, or less.

I try to make my estimates conservative. ^-^ I personally take 2-3 seconds to fire off a burst, though that's probably just because I suck with burst champions.

An assassin that is designed to achieve resets and kill an entire team. I can imagine that becoming a little tricky to balance correctly. I think her whole concept is flawed, but when people talk about Katarina, they mention that this is her "personality". Seriously. I feel that if they changed her a bit, they could legitimately buff her decently if they made her design concept different.

Not actually.

Her Q is a projectile so it has travel time to the target, and her R is a long channel, so you have its entire duration.

Not saying she is, or is not, healthy or in a good place, but at least being factually accurate will help your case.

It insantly casts, i'd count that as instant. And her Q is instant from long range. Though I might have overexcaggerated with it.

You all forgotten 1 thing katarina is MELE . and she is squishy and ap caster. So her dmg is justified.

being Melee doesnt mean crap when you have a free flash that makes you untargettable for any period of time, and horribly low cooldowns.

I hate that people are genuinely unwilling to listen to somebody calling a champion OP. I dont care which champ is mentioned, or what is said. It gets downvoted to pieces because the people that main them throw a freaking hissy fit. While she may not be the MOST broken champ in the game, her kit is broken - i dont care how many main's nag about her not being op.

Snowball champions do one thing really well, Snowball. If Katarina gets behind, she has to play infinatly smarter because she HAS to go into melee do any real dmg and can get blown up super easy if CC'd. If you are playing against Kat and don't have multiple champs with hard CC on your team, you deserve to lose.
