I'm really bothered by how few ADCs build Executioner's Calling against teams with big name healers. I'm even more annoyed when they complain over and over that a champion is busted for healing too much. Why don't people remember that Grievous Wounds exist?!?

On a more serious note, and I personally consider ADCs to be the most worst offenders in this regard, but why don't people build situationally anymore? Rush boots and surplus movement speed if the enemy team has big slow but dangerous skill shots. Build defensive items if you suck at dodging or they have basically guaranteed ways to hurt you. Consider Statikk Shiv if your team sucks at waveclear. Etc. etc. It's not even like cookie cutter builds are particularly strong right now, it just feels like players are just no longer aware.

This is a huge problem in low elos. Specifically for ADCs.

This just comes down to skill, and there is nothing you can do to fix it, asking or suggesting builds to players in lower elos is a guaranteed way to be reported. Ignore it, don't let it tilt you, and hope your next game is better :)

That isn't true. Even in low ELOs people do listen to advice. I feel like new players are less likely to listen to advice than low ELO players. But they are focused on their game, why would they buy GW when the other ADC still doesn't have relevant lifesteal either. As an ADC you don't need it yet, until you realize the other lanes were not controlled.

Wow so much GW talk recently.

I agree players should buy GW. You should remind other players. Sometimes they don't watch other lanes and assume that laner will buy GW. As an ADC I wanted to finish my damage to win fights, top should be managing his laner, even if it is just wound support. But if we need GW someone needs to mention it.

I can't talk about the other builds you talk of. But GW is just bad design. A character shouldn't be shut down by one item. But also characters shouldn't be so strong that my 3item ADC suddenly can't kill you because you heal (not tank just heal).

It is bad for both sides. Either one side is ridiculous and unkillable, or you buy a single item and just ruin their build.

Hah, if Riot does change GW I'm scared. No clue what they could do to nerf healing that is ridiculous.
