Losing LP when someone on your team DCs...

I've lost two games tonight because the ADC on my team (different players each game) disconnected. For someone who is trying really hard to get out of Bronze for the second season in a row (I did it at the very end of last season), this is infuriating. I know it has nothing to do with me and my play, but I'm suffering the consequences of it. There needs to be something done about this, because it makes me want to quit playing.

The thing that people like you don't understand is that mathematically there will be more afk's on the enemy team than on yours over a period of time as long as you never afk. Think about it, there's only 4 people who have the chance to afk on your team while there is 5 on the enemy team so statistically the current system favors you. I don't hear you complaining about all the times the enemy had an afk and you had a free win.

Actually, I'm not terribly fond of winning games when the other team has a player DC either. Call me old-fashioned, but I'm also sportsmanlike: I want to win matches played on an even field.

Problem is that if you play enough games it happens to the other team about as often as it does to you. I'd rather have the slim chance of winning 4v5 or hope they reconnect than have no LP loss every dc I get and then suddenly not gain LP when I play against a team that has someone dc. Maybe it is just me but the option to surrender or play it out if we have a chance feels better to me than wasting the time I play winning a game only to have a dc opponent and the game is suddenly wiped away so no one loses or gains LP.
