What is the trick to looking objectively at your roles, and finding out what you should be playing?

I love mid.

I love being the person who does a buttload of burst damage and has the possibility of getting lots of kills and completely turning team fights. On the other hand, I have noticed the more games I jungle (pretty much maining Volibear and Vi there) I tend to win them. My least comfortable role is ADC because I go too hard for kills and most of the time it doesn't work well-- support I can do but I don't like it because when my mid and ADC sucks I get pissed because there's nothing I can really do. I've noticed though that even when I smash my lane mid, I still lose games. I have always really liked Annie, but I'm starting to think she's pretty much a one trick pony with the flash ult. It can be really good, but when your team doesn't follow up it's often a recipe for disaster.

Anyways the thing is when I play Jungle I tend to win more games. When I am Volibear I usually don't get a gank in until lvl 4 and have a difficult time deciding when to do dragon. Late game he's just a freaking beast but almost every time I play him I'm usually around 5-0-5 going mid to late game and my team is usually doing well unless one lane just feeds out of their mind. I have problems ganking bot with him too, I just feel like he's a slow bastard sometimes and is easily kited by someone with a slow.

TL:DR; How do you choose which role you should be playing? The one you win games with, or the one you enjoy the most?

find the role that lets you have the most impact on the game. once you find that spam that role as much as you can. dont forget to actually learn the other roles.

If winning is fun and playing the role you most enjoy are fun, but both are not the same role then it's up to you to start winning with the role you most enjoy.

At the end of the day, League is a game. You should be having fun. I'd go for choosing the role you find most enjoyable. If you're having trouble winning games as your favorite role, it's because you're not good enough at the role yet. And there's nothing wrong with that.

Just play to have fun. I find that generally speaking games where I try to have fun I win more often than games where I'm not having fun.

You have to play what comes naturally to you.

Whether it is role or champion associated with role.

I love Renekton and Rengar, but if I can't make it work for me to play well enough then it is apparent that I should probably look else where for my success.

Sometimes you'll come across you play better doing something different then what you originally thought you might do better in.

As long as you understand how each role works and can use that knowledge while you play another position can help to your team's success.

In the case of you playing mid and smashing them but losing your games, if true then you need to get in the habit of probably roaming to other losing lanes on your team to help them get back into the game or coordinate with your jungler and do a double roam.

Cause that is going to be the big thing if you're going to play mid, you have to work in tandem (or even alone) with your jungler to help other losing lanes keep a lead. That is why Mid is so important.

The cold, hard fact is that: if you play ranked you do it to win. "Fun" is to be had in normals and customs with friends.
