marksmen have to be optional not necessary
one can just play janna or leona into those picks though and auto win.
Please don't tell me neeko adc is becoming popular. I don't want to start losing because people learn how to play against it in lane.

what do those strats have to do with pro's lol. Low elo you can play anything you want, I've been playing sion adc for years and i have never seen it in a pro game same goes for lightning shen jg. I don't understand what your point is
Maybe if low elo players realised that what works in pro doesn't necessarily work for them they wouldn't have played marksmen to begin with.
Seriously I remember back in season 1 and 2, people weren't picking smite, let alone marksmen+support bot duo. OFC we didn't have pro play back then, or at least no LCS just the occasional IEM etc

adcs are a class riot cant balance no matter what they do. they are either useless as fuck or thanks to sups totally op.
and then there is shit like corki or kaisa that literally have no distinct itembuild (corki does now but for years he didnt) you can build whatever you want on them and they still explode you.
The primary reason of their success is, that people are not prepared. Especially true, if there is a true ADC in the team somewhere else. The secondary is that people don't know how to play against them. Sure you meet those guys in teamfights, but not on lanephase.
Played with Soraka+Lucian against Garen+Yuumi, and they had a top Vayne. To be honest i expected Vayne bot, and prepared for that with Soraka. Against Garen i would have brought Janna, or Leona, or Alistar. Also my Lucian didn't even knew the meaning of heal reduction, and lethality.
