What's the point of building 500 armor when a ad bruiser can just shred you? There are way too many AD items with armor penetration right now. Thats why so many hyper carries are meta in the top lane right now. what do you think?
FioraWillCarry3 votesThe only thing that bothers me about this is that AP champs can't get magic pen as easy. Makes me wonder why I still play AP champs, when AD has far more flexible itemization to solve a whole range of problems.
Memeguel4202 votesI agree with you 100%. Ap champs only have 3 items that have magic penetration even if you get all 3 you still barely scratch tanks, while Anyone whose AD has 5 items with none of those being boots.

Maybe because when you actually have 500 Armor, Only the % shed is going to matter. (And that only includes BC and LW)
But seriously, 10 Armor pen is countered by 10 Armor. And combining Ghost blade, dusk blade, and Maw, will only net you 40 flat pen. (But that perfect for taking out people who have, very little Armor to begin with.

I don't think the OP understands how "armor pen" works. Flat armor pen is countered by flat armor.
A very small amount of it makes 
armor pen passives useless.
Whereas 
work better the more armor is stacked. Two items. And the only time a "bruiser" or any top laner would get both, is if you have 4 tanks on your team, for whatever reason.
Chances are you're simply failing to understand your matchups, because you certainly don't understand how armor pen works.

Sustained damage AP champs like Kayle and Azir suffer greatly because of this. A tiny bit of MR makes their damage fall off so hard.
