On Demotions

Demotions. Why are they even possible? Why do you get 'demoted'

If you're placed with players based off of your elo, mmr or whatever, why does it matter what 'league' you're in.

If you were good enough to achieve say gold 3, why does the system think that within a few games you've actually gotten worse as a player and don't belong there anymore? In my humble opinion, you only get better the longer you play. So if who you are matched with is based off of mmr, you should be allowed to keep your league that you've achieved forever, and have it reset back to bronze every season. This way you'd still be with people in your mmr, but you could keep your league. I say this because it is laughable to me to think that there are people, according to this system, that achieve gold but somehow become worse as they continue to play and get demoted to silver or bronze. But in reality it was probably just luck of the draw with trash players on their team and stuff.

This system is broken. I can go on a 10 game losing streak and get demoted 3 times, but go on a 10 game winning streak and barely get one tier from it. Progression is so difficult and unsatisfying in this game. if you win 2/3 games, you still don't progress in this game. Its just annoying and I hate it. To see the rank I just recently achieved be taken from me because of some trolls and trash team mates within a handful of games is upsetting. I'm sitting at 0 lp and I get demoted, goes back the equivalent of 3 games played, its a joke. I'm basically just ranting here.
