Riot, why does coo-op vs AI lack junglers?

Why is there no jungle aspect in co-op vs ai? the bots go 2 top, 1 mid, 2 bot. This isn't how actual pvp games work at all... I could understand if the beginner mode was like this and maybe intermediate had an actual jungler for both sides, but nope. You can only learn jungling through outside sources & trial/error in pvp modes like normal draft/blind (or practice tool but then you have 1 enemy and no challenge at all).

There's a reason this role is considered so daunting compared to the rest... literally your own game doesn't even try to teach players how to do it. I also don't recall starting the game with smite. I had to level for a while before I could unlock that summoner spell and flash, which also makes no sense. All the summs should be available from lv 1. Not having flash is a huge handicap right from the get-go for the majority of champs.

Probably because jungle is significantly harder to set up a reliable AI for. Its most base level is more complicated than other roles, and failure would lead to an AI fucking up pretty damn hard.

It'd be cool, but the work that'd have to go into it would be insane.

Riot has gone over this, I'll have to search around for the article, but the gist is that the AI doesn't know what a wall is. They would need to rewrite the AI to accomodate jungling, and the benefit for them to put work into their bots doesn't justify it (vs. AI is for newer players and ppl not wanting a competitive match at all).

Jungle is hard and the bot AI cant be easily changed. I would like it if bots had a jungler too, though. Considering the new jungle they can just set a path for the jungler to follow and have them "gank" lanes that are pushed up.

Because jungling takes a huge brain.
