question about Courage of the Colossus
If it is for all hard cc why doesn't it cover fear based moves? Are we afraid of a shielded noc or fid?

From LoLWiki:
"Hard CC" in this case refers to any crowd control that completely inhibits movement. Thus, crowd controls such as slows will not trigger this mastery. Crowd control that does trigger this mastery are:
So according to LoLWiki, fears should proc Courage of the Colossus, and if it doesn't then it is a bug.
He may be referring to the text as when you hover over it in game (idk about the mastery page) It leaves out quite a lot of forms of cc. All it mentions are stuns, snares and I can't remember but only 2 other forms of hard CC
it says for stuns, snare, taunts, or knock ups. that's why I was curious as to why it doesn't work for fears as well.
Tool tip size limitations I guess, as they don't want to have a full paragraph with all of the obscure kinds of CC ('entangle' for example is a kind of cc that is not identical to a stun or snare, but does proc cotc).
Regardless of what the tool tip says though, any hard cc (as in things that remove control of your characters movement) should work, and if theres any examples to the contrary then it's almost certainly a bug.

Wait, stasis?
Zhonyas active is a stasis on yourself, would that trigger it?
Gain a shield for 20 - 190 (based on level) (+ 5% maximum health per nearby enemy champion) for 4 seconds after hitting an enemy champion with hard crowd control.
So no, as you are not an enemy champion.
Maybe the only exception to statis CoC would be Bard R? Not quite sure.
http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Flee#Flee fear and flee are the same thing apparently. i think the terminology is, when you are instilled with fear, you flee, which is the automatic reaction to a successful fearful ability. so the fear is an action, and the fleeing is the movement-impairment
im surprised they actually didnt go through changing it from any hard CC to i think 4, which were like, the airborne effects, and stun and root. its not on the PBE, so maybe they reverted it and are happy with where its at after the nerf
