@Riot, any changes for Ahri's passive planned?

I've played Ahri since I started this game, her passive has never really been something that I pay much attention to. Early game It really isn't worth the effort to try and get stacks to proc it. The heal is negligible until pretty far into the game where you have enough ap to heal for 1/4 of your hp, which is a lot, but really doesn't accomplish much in terms of actually winning the game. I know she is pretty balanced right now but as an experienced Ahri player, the passive is pretty much useless to me. I understand its probably there for less experienced players to use because they tend to perform worse in lane, but her kit is pretty simple itself (her difficulty is listed as easier than Annie after all). I'm not sure her kit really needs any more padding for newer players. I really don't think a heal is necessary in her kit.

Also, it poses much of a bigger problem, it is what is keeping her from having different color orbs of deception depending on her skin. I don't really know why the passive indicator cant be moved from her orb. Id really appreciate some feedback on why her orb still can't have different colors depending on her skin.

idk what they really could do with the passive other than completely shift it to something else

Try reading my previous post, the best version and most 'safe' one i basically ranted about is her instead applying stacks to herself and each stack would either let her regain more health while attacking with autos and abilities, increase her own damage or something along those lines.

The other gimmick i wanted to push was targets also receiving debuff stacks of having some form of stat reduction, something a little far stretched like regaining mana (against enemy champions it would drain mana slightly and maybe reduce energy recovery on energy champions), with just like how Darius's passive works, once the debuff stack hits a certain point, A powerful effect would be applied, but instead on the enemy champion where they'd be either more 'fragile' or have cool downs increased on their abilities making them even more vulnerable for 'falling Ahri's charms as she drains your life essence.'

The fun part is if they take the time to make Ahri actually stand out from Mage/Assassins, being more then just a 'mobile mage'. It would be excellent to see an actual champion or at least more then the few that are likely barely have it as part of their kit, to be a champion that 'withers' the enemy champion down when they start a trade with them.

Plus before you talk about her becoming some bs infinite recovery champion, try to remember we got Mundo, Swain, Vlad, Aatrox and so many others who exploit the crap out of lifesteal, life recovery and so many other healing gimmicks.

It doesn't fit her current playstyle. They could at least move the passive indicator off of her orb so she can have different color orbs on her skins at least.

Like'wise Ahri was basically my first 'non-starter' champion i first unlocked years ago. So i myself would like to see her get a spotlight in the assassin rework, since lets be honest: "Is her kit really a Mage/assassin kit or more of a Assassin/mage kit?", Though she is 'immobile' sans the movement bonus after Q is launched, till she gets her R, her entire kit works towards massacring one champion in trades (Q double hit with true damage on the recall hit, W for multi proc hits which is primo if it applies items that put on hit affect for abilities like Rylai's scepter or Liandri's torment. The E is a 'pseudo' pull ability which instead makes a target vulnerable for several seconds instead of just bring them on top of you and the ultimate is literally W except with the ability to cast it 3 times and acting as a triple dash ability, Reminds anyone of Riven's Q in a sense anyone?

As for things such as her passive being for 'helping out people who are less skilled and having a lower difficulty then Annie, you have to remember that Annie was part of the fix ups with the mage rework, even if she didn't get much changed to her, but more of proper polish to make her 'fit in much better'. Ahri on the other hand really could use a much more active passive to match up to her lore of being 'A clever gifted fox who became human via 'sucking the life from other humans' and now regrets her actions with her new found moralities.'

I would even say that Ahri needs to gain more then just 'healing' from attacking targets with her abilities after she gets a count of 9 up[Funny how Annie has to use 4 abilities to charge up before she can use her stun~], lets add some more like reducing stats which could be one or multiple of the following such as armor/magic resist, reducing the target's damage, make them have less move/attack speed and any other thing, effectively playing better with the concept of her 'essence draining abilities' as a Fox turned human. Course if they really wanted to get silly they could push it to where she'd apply stacks which let her rip 'mana'(energy for those type of champions) and become just like Cassiopeia, a super exclusively unique gimmick.

That idea would be obviously overpowered if not balanced right because then we'd have Wither massacre Ahri players, but another concept i would think would be neat is the idea of her applying stacks to her self while she is attacking or using abilities against targets, letting her regain health similar to War'rick, but it could be FURTHER pushed with a powerful gimmick of also applying debuff stacks on enemy champions that could apply one of those debuff effects to match the 'making the enemies weaker as she drains them'.

BUT once it hits a certain stack count then a UNIQUE passive could be slapped on the enemy champion while the stacks are continued to persist on them that EXTENDS the cool down of their abilities, once again it fits the idea of her 'luring her targets' and slowly draining them and making them weak as a result. Plus with how many gimmicks some champions get these days, giving older ones unique gimmicks (malzahar has that anti CC super dmg reduction shield, Ryze has his spell combo system, Garen has his Villian system plus out of combat increased healing with bonuses at set levels, Ashe has her altered critical damage into a extra damage stack effect alongside the power of the slow that gets enhanced when she 'crits' normally, Annie has her enrage system with Tibbers.

At the very least i hope Ahri gets something like this added to her kit and/or her passive evolves into that tier where its extremely more active in fights, it doesnt require her to unload her entire kit to even just get the ability active and the heal amount is just a weak heal compared to other champions who have more consistent systems. Plus it would also be extremely useful in team fights because she could focus on the high priority targets, get then debuff and be much weaker due to the 'weakening' effects and could easily be killed much faster then expected in most regular match ups.

Id say the new passive would have to be something that influenced her play making potential. After a long time of playing Ahri , the biggest thing with her is that you cant play her exclusively as a poke mage, assassin, kite mage, or dive mage. You need to constantly be switching in between play styles. This is one of the reasons she is viable with almost every single AP item, she can use them if played correctly. One of my favorite builds on her is item 3100 > item 3116 > item 3152 . It gives her good dps and mobility with item 3100 , as well as cd and mana. The item 3116 makes her poke really good, as well as make her tanky. Anditem 3152 gives her the Dash, some cd and some tank stats. This is the most versatile build I have done on Ahri , it gives her damage to assassinate moderately low targets, it allows her to get meaningfull poke off, it allows her to dive without getting one shot, and allows her to kite with rylais, and turn with item 3152 . Along with good dps, its my favorite build on her.

Many other high ranking Ahri mains I talk to tend to use builds with similar aspects because it allows them to fulfill many different roles on the team. A passive that represents this playmaking aspect in Ahri 's kit would be very appreciated. The heal just doesn't fit in anywhere with the playstyle that many high ranking Ahri players use. I'm not asking for some crazy dynamic Zyra tier passive, but something to create a little bit of versatility that fits her current accepted playstyles would be nice.

you don't notice it because you do low AP builds

when was the last time you even rushed a needlessly large rod on ahri lol

I haven't played a lot of Ahri the last few days. I did clearly say that Full ap builds would regen like 1/4-1/2 of your hp by late game, but that doesn't mean that its a good passive. It doesn't really fit the playstyle of many high elo Ahri players.

Judging my experience off of my most recent games is not a really good idea, I haven't been building normal Items recently. you really don't run up against a lot of normal comps in diamond. The first game was me trying to itemize against a Veigar , I ended the game with about 4000 gold left, really didn't have time to back since we were pushing into their nexus for a solid 8 minutes. The other game I was getting one shot by Leblanc and MonkeyKing , so I ended up building a lot of defense. After item 3157 I was straight up towerdived by MonkeyKing and got one shot, so I bought a raptor cloak and turned the null cloak I had into a zzrot to counter the Darius split.

Those weren't clean games so you probably shouldn't be using them to represent my general Ahri playstyle.

What I'm trying to say is that the current Ahri passive doesn't really fit her current playstyle.

Ahri does't need buff.

I'm not asking for a buff, just a power redistribution, her current passive doesn't fit her play style at all.

And also asking for the passive indicator to be changed so its not on her orb so she can finally have different color orbs for her skins.

If Ahri gets new passive or passive change this will be indirect buff.

How do you know that? You really aren't presenting any evidence to support this claim either. If she were to get a passive that synergized with her current playstyle, then it would be a nerf to newer/worse players who wouldn't be getting that passive heal.

If Ahri's passive is useless, this will be indirect buff. You're saying ''the passive is pretty much useless to me. I understand its probably there for less experienced players to use because they tend to perform worse in lane''

Ahri mains win rate http://champion.gg/champion/Ahri 54.09%.Meanwhile Ahri's passive is useful for a lot Ahri mains. You adjust its stacks.
