Are chests resetting at the start of season 7 or at the start of preseason?

Just wondering if I should grind all day for chests or if I can take my time.

EDIT: By chests, I mean the opportunity to earn chests from getting S with unique champions.

Im not sure, but I havent gotten a key this month so far. kinda weird

The chests won't be resetting only the champs you can earn chests on (from my understanding of it).

So, even if you use up all 4 chests you'll still have to wait for them to refill before you can get one on the reset champs.
