Stop Telling People To Just Quit If They Complain
Despite my myriad of complaints as to how things are CURRENTLY being handled, I don't actually blame RIOT. I think they are working hard, and are making an honest attempt. My favoritism towards the old design team is mostly because I followed IceFrog (yes, I know how that turned out), Morello, Guinsoo and the rest here from WC3, and even when they failed it was a failure I could actually understand their thinking behind it... I'd dealt with them for a long time even before they became RIOT.
So, yes. I do have some major issues when it comes to gameplay and balance. There are aspects of how things have changed that gets deep under my skin and irritates me. The over simplified mechanics, the stupification of skills vs meta, and the adamant idea that games need to be streamlined until you can say gg at champ select and rejoin the queue all annoy me.
That said, I DO harbor some resentment towards Tencent, mostly out of the fact that the timing of when they popped up - and the game focus shifted from fun to endless grinding competition - is too hard for me to ignore. I dislike many things about the current design policies, and even take issue with a few other customer service policies currently floating around RIOT. That doesn't mean I am just going to up and ditch, until the situation actually becomes untenable for me to even try to enjoy any more. Figure I stuck with EQ 1 for almost 14 years, I can ultimately give RIOT that much time too.
Tl;dr: Get off your high horse. Just because people complain about things YOU do not mind does not invalidate their experiences... just like when there was something bothering YOU in the past.
