PSA - How to play fill except support

I've been seeing a huge number of extremely bad support players and generally the excuse is that they picked fill.

I've seen sometimes people say there should be a fill except ... option and I agree. Some people don't know how to achieve this with what we have.

Here's the secret that people don't seem to know. You can do fill except, it's not very complicated. Here's how it goes.

You identify the slot you want the most. Let's say it's top. So you put your primary as top. But you still need a secondary. Select jungle. Now keep playing games like that until you finish a jungle game. Now put your primary as top again, but this time put middle as your secondary. Now keep playing games like that until you finish a middle game. Now put your primary as top again, but this time put bottom as your secondary. Now keep playing games like that until you finish a bottom game. And repeat the entire process.

You can play a variety of slots, and never get stuck with support. All you have to do is change what is your secondary repeatedly. The same thing applies if you never want to play jungle or whatever. Just substitute the word jungle or whatever for the word support in the paragraph above. It's something that everyone can do, but not everyone thinks to do it.

I think Riot should really cater to those of us that are less intelligent, but in the meantime, please share this knowledge with your friends. Tell them they can avoid the team player slots they don't want to play by refusing to select fill and by refusing to select those slots specifically which they do not want to play. It's not rocket science, so you should be able to teach them that. And if not, please submit a support ticket to Riot asking for them to suspend their account for a week or two, maybe then they'll start getting it.

People should just play high damage supports like Annie or Brand I think if they really hate the role

That can certainly be an option, but various lane opponents or allies may make that difficult at times. Regardless, in my experience, the champ selection isn't as important as the player's attitude. They could pick a Soraka and just hug tower, or they could pick a Taliyah and feed nonstop. Either way, they're not doing their job.

thats not fill. fill is letting ur team have their best roles in trade for sacrificing randomness for u. u r still preferring roles that a teammate may have preferred. the problem is no one wants support

This post was made about a year ago and since then the advice I gave no longer works because they changed the odds on getting your secondary so it's almost impossible to get your secondary compared to before when you would get it very often...at least in normal draft.
