The First Ward

Can we talk about placing wards for a second? I just played a game, and it went well, just a typical game, but I noticed our Top player was blind when I came up at lvl 3. He signaled the CD for his trinket, showing he can't place a ward.. This happened when my Jax has Poppy at like 50 Health and she's not recalling. Knowing where I am on the map I know their Lee is also clearing camps around Top too. I know this, maybe Jax does too.. but he didn't PREPARE for it.

Seeing as Poppy started in lane, and Bot lane was empty while I started Red.. we know Lee started Blue.. save your ward for when I cross Mid to get Blue/Wolves. The Ward doesn't really last long, and the CD is kind of steep. So knowing when to place a ward by balancing the duration and cd is important people!! If Jax had saved the ward, knowing he wouldn't need to worry about another enemy coming to his lane until the 3 minute mark, then he would have the right vision.

This game is one example, but the message is the same. Remember to buy your Control Wards (pinks), and use your trinkets timely. Don't come to lane as a support and immediately sweep the bushes.. wait until you know their support has dumped their wards, then use your sweep.

Please guys. This little practice will help save your lives so I don't have to.

edit p.s.: Playing Jungle, I am more likely to gank when I have vision. I don't want to get counter-ganked on the gank and end up screwing both of us over. This goes both ways- knowing this as a support.. if you see your enemy placing vision you need to get rid of it otherwise it's a huge vision window for the Jungle to read the situation.
