Why are some champions getting completely ignored even when they have non-existant competitive play?

I'm not talking about champs who are going to get reworked and are left in this "limbo" state (Yorick, WW, Galio etc...) so it is somewhat "justifyed" that they are not getting picked; i'm talking about champs who were just recently reworked to give them a new "niche gameplay" so they could always have an optimal situation in wich they could shine.

Namely, stuff like Jinx, Corki, Tristana, MF. For example, Corki is in a pitiful state both in soloQ and competitive and just needs plain buffs imho, then there are other champs like Jinx or MF wich are decent (or even strong) in soloQ, while being very underwhelming in competitive.

Now, you could say "well MF or Jinx skillset is not suited for competitive play", but then i can easily that i can't be the only one to think it can be a way to buff their competitive performance without making them unbearable in soloQ.

Even then, it has been proven that champs like Jinx or MF or Tristana have a competitive skillset, because they were used extensively in competitive during specific times, so it's not really a "Garen issue", when even when he was reworked into OP status, he still didn't ever get picked in competitive simply because hit kit does not fit into a competitive environment.

jinx was played last week and tristana this week in competitive play, MF has been here this season too, not loads but once or twice.

they where played a lot in last summer split, its just the meta shift to more utility carries, last year people asked why ash wasn't played even after the rework (once they stopped her Q building on turrets)

I think most of it has to do with carrying. Jinx and Miss Fortune are major carries, but require much more team playing to get to that carry point. They do not have any real escapes, they just have to run for it. Corki has mixed damage but is almost all poke, which means he is HEAVY team fight oriented..... see where this is going?

If a champion has to rely on allies doing their part, people stay away from that champion.... or else they are at the mercy of the team which, most tend to get the short straw about.

Take Nami for example. How many Nami's do you normally see while playing? If i want to see a nami being played in normals OR ranked, it is normally me who picks her. I hear she is "seeing some play in the higher elos" but she is a fairly team oriented champion. She speeds the team, she buffs the team, she heals the team.... but can she solo? In some situations she can, but most of the time it will not end well if she tries. Does she have a dash or teleport to escape? Nope.... does not have that either except flash. Does that make her bad? Heck no, people just do not trust their team to do their part, and with Nami being heavily team oriented.... she does not see as much play as she, in my opinion, should.

This theory of mine is proven time and time again with the constant "need" to be in a carry role so they can carry the game even if the team fails.
