MF needs more reliability/versatility

Right now way too much power is tied to her R-Q, this make her an extremely unreliable one trick (bully lane, press R and hope you don't get cc'ed).

This lack of reliability makes her unappealing the higher you get elo-wise http://www.leagueofgraphs.com/champions/stats/adc/bronze you can check here that her popularity goes from 12.7% in bronze to 5.4% in diamond.

This also makes her next to impossible to play in competitive.

As much as i find one-shotting people with a Q bounce hilarious/fun/satisfying, this means that an insane amount of power is tied to her Q, and this prevents other areas of her kit from being buffed, namely her E.

Now, I don't want a buff to her E damage because we all saw what happened when her E used to have a high base damage (spam E+ TL, win lane), i just want a buff to the base slow on her E and a reduction on her Q base damage.

You may say that MF is not a utility carry so she shouldn't have a strong AOE slow, but then i will bring you 2 examples of utility carries who had their damage hard buffed so they could be viable, simply because their utility wasn't enough to compensate for their lack of damage: Sivir and Ashe.

Sivir was in a bad spot during preseason, and what did Riot do?

They straight up doubled her damage on her W; many people were saying that this was an error...."she shouldn't do high damage, they should buff her ult", well...turns out they were right and Sivir is now in a very healthy spot, aka not OP but still top tier.

The same thing happened with Ashe: they didn't buff her slow, her E or her arrow stun duration: they buffed her Q aka her damage...and she's now top tier but not OP.

I'm asking to do the same thing to MF, but reversed: basically she's doing way too much damage but that damage is unreliable and she has too low utility to make up for that, so i think her Q damage should be reduced, but her E base slow should be higher, this way you will get:

  • Less oppressive/cheesy lane phase (no more Q one shots);

  • More utility/versatility (you are still useful if you don't manage to land your one trick ult);

  • More synergy with her ult (E slow higher = stronger self-setup for her ult).

Basically: less frustration for her opponents, more versatility for her player.

So my proposed changes would be like this:

Double Up (Q)

FIRST TARGET PHYSICAL DAMAGE: 10 / 25 / 40 / 55 / 80 from 20 / 35 / 50 / 65 / 80

SECOND TARGET PHYSICAL DAMAGE: 30 / 50 / 700 / 100 / 130 from 40 / 70 / 100 / 130 / 160

Make it rain (E)

SLOW: 40 / 45 / 50 / 55 / 60% from 28 / 36 / 44 / 52 / 60%

The numbers might be off, but that's the idea.

TL;DR: MF is too one-dimensional and relies on cheesy Qs to win lane/snowball while having too low utilty, i suggest a reduction on her early game Q damage on top of a higher base slow on E.

As an MF main with over 250k mastery points on her, I can tell you that this entire post is pretty baseless.

First off, her Q poke hinges heavily on whether or not the first shot kills. Reducing the base damage isn't going to change that the ricochet's power is in the kill on the initial target.

Second, her E is strong enough as a 1 point skill. It already has enough utility in revealing the area plus the significant slow. To buff the slow is going to make her even more oppressive in lane since it makes landing her Q ricochet even easier, kill or not.

Third, her ultimate is designed as a combo ultimate. To enable her to be self-reliant on it with her already impressive damage is going to have her soaring past Lucian in terms of power.

What I'd rather see is a change to her passive, so that she's not reliant on the counter-intuitive mechanic of constantly switching targets. Something along the lines of this:

Fiery Passion: Each time Miss Fortune deals physical damage to an enemy, she applies a stack of Passion for 4 seconds that stacks up to 4 times. On the application of the 4th stack, Miss Fortune deals physical damage equal to 0.4-1.0 of her total AD.

Strut: Guns and Roses - Reset now occurs anytime Fiery Passion's damage is triggered.

Now, she has less early game poke, her passive works better with all of her skills now, maintains her identity as Queen of the Combo and is a little less oppressive in lane while still being rewarded for aggression.
