Trying out DotA in a few minutes...

And if it seems good, I'm uninstalling league.

At least until Riot get's their shit together and fixes stuff, this game is becoming unplayable, and I'm ready to uninstall regardless of whether DotA's actually any better.

Aside from the actual imbalance in the game and the atrocious new economic system, there are a ton of major problems with the game on a mechanical level that haven't been dealt with for almost a month.

I have played this game since season 3, and it has run fine. Since the introduction of this preseason I have experienced an increase in ping spikes, frame drops, and flat out game crashes and client bug splats than all my previous 5 years combined, by a factor of TEN. I have had over 60 (nearing 70) game crashes within the past 2 patches, often with several in a single match, as opposed to less than 5 I can think of in the years prior. Every other game runs fine still, and my setup hasn't fallen out of compatibility according to everything I've read to resolve it.

The game itself is barely enjoyable at this point. ARAM is decided by first blood and ends in 15 minutes or less, SR is a shitshow and barely lasts long enough for a surrender vote to end the suffering since everybody and their brother snowballs like Riven and scales harder than Nasus. All the new runes are some variation of "pick your flavor of stupid damage" or something that lets you break game logic and build like an ICBM but not take the fallout that you should

That and leveling feels like shit. I get less and less from this game the more I put in, and I feel more and more punished for not throwing away my life to this game. Prices have remained gouged, and there's clearly no intent on Riot's part to ever fix it, since they'd rather pump out more shitty emotes for us to waste chests on.

I used to love this game. I've put thousands of hours into league over the years and would recommend it to anyone who asked! But that's changed. I'm getting out now before wasting more of my life on this scam, I recommend you all do the same.

Sorry if I seem salty, but it sucks to see something you loved turn into something you hate.

people uninstall games? in the day and age of cheap 4 TB hard drives? that's just silly

Dota blows overall (comparatively speaking), but has a few nice features. And the game design in no way can compete with league, but it's fun for a change up for like week or two.

Try broodmother, she is amazingly fun to play. I just wish riot would have included her micro'ing mechanics when they ripped her off.

Yeah, DOTA's fun. However the community is awful up until 3k MMR, so if you can, hang in there.

Also try out other games (even singleplayer games), you'd be amazed how fun they are after playing LoL for so long.

Please do come join Dota, also have your mechanical skills ready as , Dota is mechanically harder than league also there are no runes, no summoners spell and most of no runes, also the comeback mechanism is better than that of LOL and also we have attributes not Ap, Ad XD Hope to see you on the battlefield

I prefer Dota 2 myself as of late because the characters in it each have their own reason to be picked and are never not picked for being bad necessarily, usually just not picked because they are very hard to play and only a few want to play them. Also, it's funny because Dota 2 doesn't have a lot of the downsides that League has that people complain about like:

  • If you fall behind, you can't come back (in Dota as long as you have the normal amount of Carry characters, you can always farm and come back)
  • Games are short (Games in Dota are typically long)
  • FotM rules (in Dota everyone has a fail safe hard counter if you see the enemy first pick them, and usually have items that can heavily weaken them if worse comes to worse)
  • Jungle decides early game (ganks are much harder to pull off in Dota against decent players)
  • Ranged AA characters are the only ones that matter (melee characters have a definite reason to be picked)
  • One shots (rarer in Dota)

Play Rubick

Aside from that, i'm waiting for you to meet anti-mage in this patch who's over 58% win rate (and a huge pick rate) and quickly come back to league

Love dota but the community is worse there then it is here and when i play it's dead. but it has more strategy for certain and game are usually longer.

As a league player you're not going to get a feel for dota very quickly, the games are extremely different and dota has a harder learning curve

I tried Dota. I don't know why but I just couldn't get into it. Turn animations? Fuck that. I also like the aesthetic of League better. Towers are really strong in that game too. A little too beefy. But good luck with your Dota 2 adventures!
