Hello, "Rito". I love you! ...but, about the robots that play the game...
Hi! My name is Taylor. First of all, "Rito", I would like to start my first post by saying that I love you so much, for making such a wonderful game, that has changed me into a better person than I was before when I started. It has made me a more tactical, intelligent, considerate, and understanding person in the real world. It truly has made me think about life in a different way and I will be forever grateful for the way that this game, specifically, has helped me achieve a higher level of relationships with other people, who can sometimes be difficult to interact with, when you do not know them. Particularly on the internet.
Okay, I just typed in "bots" in the search in forum bar and everything that comes up has nothing to do with what I'm talking about. Now I'm going to type in "robots"...
...Okay, the first thing that comes up is something about Viktor, and it's from a year ago. I love him! ...And maybe I just do not know what I should be looking for. But that is also not what I am talking about. I feel that, after reading the boards thoroughly, and, with not enough communication on this particular subject, I feel that we need to have some discussion about the R O B O T S that are playing this game 24/7.
What I want to discuss is...why is that when I play the game early in the morning (or sometimes even late at night), why do I play with a M A S S of non-people who are just coded entities running about the map like fools, doing nothing? Specifically I'm talking about Twisted Treeline and The Crystal Scar. I am posting this, my first message on the boards, in hope of reaching someone at "Rito", in hope of starting a discussion as to why my last 5 (count them, five!) games of Dominion and Twisted Treeline were Nothing. But. Robots. Playing against me! I am saying that I was the only real person playing the game and 9/10 of the other people were NOT HUMAN. And how do I know that they were robots? Firstly, because they run Sprint and Heal. Always. I am not enough of a robot-maker to understand why this is. This is probably out of simplicity, and because this is the easiest way for the robots to be programmed because those are the default choices for summoner spells. Secondly (the more obvious reason), is that they say ABSOLUTELY NOTHING during the entire game!.. No rage, no compliments, ...NO N-O-T-H-I-N-G! ...All that they do is simply run around the map like mindless trolls trying to ruin their team's game because they were flamed them for feeding! ..But it's even WORSE! They literally have no objectives (besides taking points in Dominion and killing minions in Twisted Treeline and don't care about being attacked! Usually you can sit their and bash their head in and they'll be like ":D" smiling at you, literally, not even moving...) I do not want my win to be so effortless!
I have been in s o m a n y g a m e s (especially during early hours at Twisted Treeline and Dominion) that were completely ruined because I was playing with a bunch of robots who cared NOTHING about the game. Sometimes I'm lucky to have a REAL PERSON on the enemy team or, if I am even luckier, ON MY TEAM, who I can have a conversation about this with and I keep hearing the same thing over and over again... "What is going on with these bots..?"
I do not understand the complications of making a game and I'm sure there are good reason why an army of robots are playing this game. I report them for being "afk" at the end of every game (because that's the best that report system will allow you to do) but what, "Rito", is really going on with these machines playing and ruining our games and when are we REALLY going to be able to do something about it?
