Why do People Hate Quinn?
** Taking all of this into account, my question becomes this: Why does everybody hate quinn? Do you think she's garbage? If so, why?** tl;dr: Quinn takes skill to play, I almost always (~80% of the time) play well with her, yet still get a lot of heat everytime I play her.
Full story here: Alright, so, one day, I got ADC for Draft and thought to myself "I've played Twitch for 3 games in a row, I'm getting sick of it." Actually, I typed that into chat. Somebody suggests "then play a free ADC." During that game, I ended up with a 9/2 KDR, the enemy team surrendered at the 25 minute mark. From then on, I noticed the pattern with Quinn: either I hard carry and the enemy surenders at early game (~30% of the time), I fall flat on my face because I have a crappy early game (~20% of the time), or we go into lategame and have a legitimate match (~50% of the time). So my question becomes this: Why does everybody hate Quinn? Everytime I play Quinn and somebody is feeding and I say "play more conservatively" and/or "stop feeding", they immediately respond with "shut up, you're playing Quinn!" Or else I'll have a match where somebody on the team just gave up at the 10-minute mark, because comebacks clearly never-ever-ever happen, and I say "why did you give up?" and he says "hur-dee-dur-dur, you're playing Quinn!" Now, if Quinn actually were a garbage champion, I would say that that has some merit. But, the thing is, she isn't! She takes actual skill to play, you can't just farm like crazy and become a late-game god with her, you have to choose the precise moment when to attack, when to run, when to push, etc., even when you're fed. Because of this, it seems like people just don't like her because they don't have the skittlez necessary to play with her, which would be fine if they didn't immediately write her off as a trash champion. When I play Quinn, seldom is the game I don't knock over at least 4-6 towers. At early game, I roam and I gank like crazy (slow + burst combo + boxed in enemy = death), if I'm getting outlaned, I'll stay in lane to keep my tower alive, usually quite successfully, since I'm never away from my tower for long, even when ganking (I can thank Valor for that). If one of the other lanes is struggling, I'll wait until I've pushed all the way to the enemy tower, then fly down and support that lane (usually taking out its first tier tower in the process). At lategame, I'll push two lanes at a time (three if if I needed a little extra tankiness from a zz'rot portal or Banner of Command), and I'll use a ruby wardstone to ward up the enemy jungle so I seldom get ganked. Late-game, I'm obviously going to drop off in my ganking potential, since I become more focused on knocking down enemy towers than actually killing the enemy, but I rarely end a match with any less than a 1.5:1 KDR, and more towers knocked down than anybody else on my team.
