I don't know, I mean, I get letting some meele champs catch up to ranged, but there was literally no way to escape from yasuo. Your thoughts?

My thoughts exactly, and though it is low, katarina's E has a much higher cd than yasuo's E(unless kat gets a kill/assist)

seen it many times before, makes them tanky and adds some utility. but they sacrifice dmg to buy it. not sure if its really a good buy.

It's a good buy when certain champion's have kits that thrive on constant windows of damage. Shyvana, Gnar, Yasuo. It's especially stupid on Gnar, as once he gets you, you'll never escape as melee. He just Qs for the slow, and then autos you endlessly for percent health damage. If you're not dead by then, he's on you with Mega Gnar lol.

I don't mind it on champs like shyv, since they're tankier/juggernaut/bruiser(whatever you call em) but on yas, his high damage allows him to build tanky due to his passive and still do high amounts of damage.

The point is that they don't sacrifice enough damage.

If it wasn't a good buy it wouldn't be part of his highest WR build on champ.gg.

That's the end result of Frozen Mallet in a nutshell. Whomever you build it on, as long as they have enough movespeed over the slowed target and enough attack speed/ways of applying the slow, will be able to endlessly slow their target. It's fun to build it on superhard engagers like Xin Zhao or Shyvana.

Please don't bring rank into this, I never said yasuo is directly op and needs 100% nerfs(though some changes to his passive would be nice) I'm not saying nerf mallet either, just the fact that yasuo is able to build it and do massive amounts of damage while perma slowing you sucks.
