What the Jungle needs.
Ok I've been maining jungle for almost a year now. Let me tell you one thing. Nerfing people that are good does not help. It just makes people mad and then new strong picks take their place. You need to buff the weak instead of nerfing the strong.
That said, what is making jungle a very monotonous and unsatisfactory role? Well the jungle itself does not give you enough XP. If you only farm you won't get above the support's level. You are supposed to be helping the team, but unless you get insane amounts of kills during your ganks, you will inevitably fall behind. And you will just get melted if you try gank a mid/top lane that is 3 levels above you. See where the problem is? Laners get so far ahead of junglers in level that junglers have VERY little impact on the game.
Your dragon control literally only depends by which mid and bot lane is fed. If you are a tank, you are not tanky enough because you are 3 levels below. If you are an assassin you can't assassinate because you are 3 levels below. Like I say, even if you get say 3 kills, 3 assists and some farm, you are still same level as a support. But your role is different from support. You need to play proactively, control objectives and lock down priority targets in fights. Too bad you are too weak to do it.
Now sure, sometimes you get on some great killstreak and then you carry, but that only happens if enemy lanes are pretty stupid and keep overextending horribly.
So what can be done? I think that a simple XP bonus from taking jungle camps for Smite item possessor would easily do the trick. Look, I remember in the middle of last season you could get around top lane level and actually have an impact. So you can either give more XP to junglers, or make camps weaker. I think until they realize this, jungle will never really work as intended. Honestly, being behind in level is the worst thing. It makes you very weak regardless of your build, previous actions or decisions.
I am tired of seeing junglers that are doing good being same XP level as supports. This is not how it should be.
