Runeglaive Ezreal.
That is just BS. I swear to god I'm losing all my faith in Riot if they don't release a hotfix for that very quickly. It is one of the most BROKEN things I've ever seen happen to this game.

So broken that Runeglaive Ezreal still has only a 47% winrate even in Diamond (and isn't 50% in any ELO). You're ignoring everything else like lack of CC, weak pushing power, poor roaming (mostly due to the lack of CC and poor waveclear), long ramp-up time etc. His damage with items wasn't the issue even when he had a 45% winrate before Runeglaive. In fact, he did more damage with LB vs champions with few resistances. You're just ignorant and fail to adapt or play far too passively to take advantage of when you're stronger. What's next? You're going to complain about LB bursting you too and then still build 0 MR?
It's really stupid how people tunnel on some strong things about a champion and ignore everything else or even the fact that it isn't actually having success. For example, I still see people ban LB and she's honestly pretty bad in all ELOs. Even competitive play has abandoned her and she has one of the worst winrates in the game now.
AP Ezreal isn't OP in any way and has countless counters. For example, his winrate vs Talon is 35%. Whining like a baby instead of adapting and countering is asinine. You can dramatically reduce 4/5 of Ezreal's damage spells by just having an MR tank body-block the Q, R & E so the backline stays safe. A Locket would help too if you really can't dodge narrow skillshots.

I understand that, but as it stands right now, full build Ezreal with Runeglaive can literally one shot a carry with Trueshot Barrage, which is on a 40 something second cooldown.
I don't care how little CC you have, that's not right.

Then I ask you, why is the carry building ZERO defensive items and likely taking zero MR runes? More importantly, why would the carry be IN FRONT of minions and tanks. Ezreal's ult. has a lot of damage fall-off and Luden's does less on non-primary targets too. You have to position like a complete retard for that to be able to happen under any circumstances. Moreover, it is mathematically impossible for it to 1-shot a carry even in ideal circumstances unless there is a large gold and level disparity (keep-in mind that everyone starts with at least 30 MR). You could make similar complaints about a Ziggs ult. and none of this is even improved by Runeglaive. A LB Ezreal would actually do more damage with his ult. due to the extra AP. Countering a champion isn't just about 1vs1 either, it's about strategic decisions, counter-building, comps etc.
People just forgot how to use their brains and adapt. Apparently, they also forgot what AP Ezreal does because most of this whining has nothing to do with Runeglaive. If your team hasn't at least gotten the first dragon before Ezreal has Luden's, you're failing miserably (especially mid). Ezreal does nothing compared to an Ahri, Talon etc. that early and your team should be taking the advantages that creates.
What does that have to do with Runeglaive? It doesn't even get triggered from Trueshort Barrage.
Yes, AP Ezreal has very good ratios on his ultimate, on a low cooldown. He always has. Fullbuild Ezreal could always delete squishies.
What Runeglaive gives him is a little more poke (better synergy with mpen, Luden's proc/bug) and some ability to actually farm/push waves (which he is normally sorely lacking.) In terms of damage output, it only buffs his Q. He actually deals less damage with his other abilities when he builds it over e.g. Lich Bane (40 vs 80 AP for that slot.)

Are you saying his R applies runeglaive's effect?
If yes, you are full of bs. If no, then what's the problem with RG?
i've yet to see one do well in my games, and i see it every fucking game
Runeglaive 5.13 Bugfix As documented in the 7/2 PBE update, Enchantment: Runeglaive no longer procs spell effects such as Luden's Echo, Spell Vamp, or Rylai's Crystal Scepter on the PBE.
Here's ricklessabandon with context on bugfix responsible for this change:
"To clarify, it was definitely a bug we missed in development. Luden's Echo will trigger on 'spell damage' which are damage sources that apply effects like the slow from Rylai's Crystal Scepter or the spell vamp from Hextech Gunblade. 'Proc damage' doesn't interact with those effects though, which is why Sunfire Cape doesn't perma-slow when you also buy Rylai's Crystal Scepter. Additionally, Luden's doesn't care about what type of damage is being applied, so Talon's Rake and Olaf's Reckless Swing would trigger the item's effect if they ever had the item (please don't try it with those champions in a real game though)…
Runeglaive was always intended to be treated as 'proc damage' just like Lichbane, Iceborn Gauntlet, Sunfire Cape, etc but the damage on the primary target was flagged incorrectly (the AoE damage was correctly flagged).
Fun Fact: the damage from Hextech Gunblade and Luden's Echo are intended to apply spell effects. This means you could do things like shoot a champion with Gunblade, have Luden's bounce off of them to three other targets, and heal off of the damage done to all four. If you had Rylai's, they'd all be slowed too!
Edit: used the word 'though' too many times and it was bothering me…"

Oh wow..is Ludens bounce damage considered aoe damage or does it get full vamp? Luden spellvamp pokers would be fun if so.
Aoe
It's fine. L2P
try runeglaive gangplank. oneshot minion wave, get bonus gold on everyone. have full build by 20 minutes
play yasuo, devour ezreal
I've seen more broken.
Release
, pre AP nerf
for example.
Must I even mention pre-rework
?
you talk as if fizz and jinx aren't still broken (fizz waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than jinx)
Fizz is still strong (I wouldn't say broken), same with jinx (still wouldn't say broken, as broken is far worse than their current states.)
i guess you wasnt there for release
or
, those two were the reason for PBE testing
I joined around the time
got released, so no, I was not there.
those were very unfun times
I heard release ezreal was incredibly broken, so I think I should be glad I was not there for that huh?
His W healed allies and took away enemy Attack speed while increasing his own, and since Hybrid builds were out of control back then, yeah he was broken

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-D0tMQjiFY 1:22 is when you see how op ezreal used to be.
thing is ezreal's q doesn't apply spell effects @above
The problem is because of runeglaive it is applying spell effects. This is a known bug and is being hotfixed in 5.13 see my post below.

It applies Runeglaive, which then applies spell effects.
Correct this patch, but this is actually a bug and is being fixed next patch (i.e. probably next week sometime).
Personally, I would love to see laners not building jungle items... Just my personal preference, but hey.
So long as they're building it because they want it for some reason other than it just being inherently better than any normal item they could get, like Cinderhulk was for a while, I don't have a problem with it.
So they have trash early game, because they have to buy machete and upgrade it = wasted gold; also compare smite to offensive and defensive spells like ignite, exhaust, heal, barrier...
Runeglaive is only 33% of the problem. Riot needs to GUT the ap ratios on Ezreals ultimate because with how spammable it is and how mobile Ez is, his ap damage atm is unacceptable
