Does anyone else feel they have no impact on the game?

I get these unwinnable games that even if we do really well in botlane (we get 6-7 kills and die may be 1), as we enter midgame I discover that my team is simple losing on all fronts, every other lane has fed the enemy a total of 20 kills and so the game goes, my adc is of course not very good so she cant carry anything and I as support can just sit and watch my team feed the enemy some more kills before we lose (and may be die once or twice myself).

Then I had this game where I was 4/0/4 Lux support and again we won botlane handily. Then again Yi was carrying us. We won in less than 25 minutes and we would have won regardless of how we did. My being 4/0/4 again had no impact on the game. May be Yi was smurf, may be not but somehow he snowballed and carried us with an iron fist.

The only thing I could do is play snowball/splitpush champions and become so good at the game I can carry my team myself. So much for playing support and midlane mages that are more reliant on the team. I know you can carry as support, but some games, you cant.

Some games you can't some games you cannot. That's how support is. If you want a higher success rate and more control over the game, you will have to play a carry.

Best thing to do, if you really like support as a concept but still want control over how the game plays out, play ivern. He's a jungler (junglers usually have a higher winrate than any other role including mid laners) so he can apply pressure all over the map and he also is a support with his shield, cc and ability to make your carries disappear by placing bushes on them. He's also a really strong counter jungler.

No I'm the best carry the world has ever seen and I don't need any other player in my team. I just leave penta's to others to make them feel good.

I've been seeing a lot of irritating trends in Riot's matchmaking every now and then, where if I win 2+ games in a row, I'll end up getting some neanderthal or raging ping spammer in a carry role in one of my games. You can usually tell if you get someone like this by how they play in the first 10 minutes, and after that it's just a clear decision if the game's worth playing out or if it's a loss you'll have to accept. It's mostly normal games, but it's happened in a few ranked games too.

You can't win everything. It's something that we have to anticipate.
