How do you just take a really fun, strategical, teamplay-oriented item and remove it from the game? Why? What tomfoolery is this?

Regarding Banner of Command - that item has been a problem for years. It started giving buffs to ALL minions AND pets, on a Baron buff level. Then it got nerfed, stripping the aura and becoming focused around the active. Then the active became a problem because of the spamming strategy, and that's when they killed it. It honestly deserved to go, they couldn't find a way to balance it and keep the core of it's being intact.
I just had to google to find out what the last item is, the Runic Bulwark, and that thing would be busted as hell in this climate. It looks like it was initially scrapped and replaced with Banner of Command in it's earlier days since they both share the minion buffing, but the fact that it buffs minions AND allies with free stats is just supremely overpowered, and this would basically be a MUST PURCHASE item like Locket was was in it's meta before it's aura was scrapped. I agree with it's removal, it's too strong to exist.
The only one I don't agree with is Face of the Mountain. I loved that item, and the instant shield, it was such a clutch save in so many situations, more so than Locket is. I still do not understand why they never replaced it.
Edit: Runic Bulwark was removed LONG AGO. I've been playing since 2014, and I've never seen the item. Considering Ghostcrawler came on last season, he wasn't responsible for removing it.
