I would rather items be set to an autoattack range requirement rather than just melee or ranged only

For example if you're playing a Quinn or Graves who are marksmen that find lethality to be a core component and both have short ranged wouldn't it be better to make it that any champion that has an auto attack ranged of 550 or above can't use lethality?

That way champs such as MissFortune Jhin Draven can't abuse it while short ranged early game marksmen won't be forced to build into an expensive late game crit build.

No. Quinn and Graves aren't supposed to and shouldn't be allowed to.

How can you justify it on Quinn and not on the other 3 ? FYI lucian has 500 range

Also those 2 have re-positioning skills , those 3 dont

You know lucian has a 47% win rate even with the lethality buffs and what about Jayce, wouldn't it screw him if it was melee only?

Champs like MissFortune and Jhin blow people from quite a large distance with just their ults, riot even stated that quinn is a markmen/assassin hybrid so won't it seem weird that she can't use items designed to be used by her?

Wrong. She isn't supposed to use those items. Those items were meant for the actual melee assassins. Not the ranged cancer Quinn is.

Except the fact that Riot even have yommus and duskblade as essential items in the recommended tab on the item store.

Because Riot changes their stance whenever they fuck up? Like they do with every other instance?

So instead of acknowledging it was a problem based off their own stupidity, they just say that was what was intended all along (even when they said the exact opposite themselves before that). They then try to rebalance around that which never works because Riot decided to be fucking stupid and make something that couldn't ever be balanced happen.
