Can someone help me with building for Kindred and strategies for playing?

I go devourer challenging smite, but I consider chilling smite once every hundred games or so if I need a slow but at the same time the enemy builds armour, and E isn't enough. I used to build warrior but no one was ever scared of me + I like farming early on. I don't take Trailblazer because I rarely take much damage from camps.

I like to build Furor's on the two highest MS boots, depending on the enemy's slows. Sometimes I build tabi or merc, but only if they have a really high magic damage comp or a comp like Kindred + Vayne + Tryndandmere + TF.

Black cleaver is fun to have because of the on-hit free last whisper and the free movement speed. Kindred just deals damage so slowly so I like the chasing ability. I build Blood Thirster if I really don't need the armour penetration, which is not very often.

Runaan's is awesome, my favourite non-AP non-Zz'rot item. I like to ulti then bring everyone's HP to super low levels before finishing with Q and a Runaan's auto. I rarely skip it because of all the on hit effects I have, but at the same time I don't spend too much for attack speed in other items so it's good to have one dedicated item. I also like to avoid taking too much risks before 6 stacks due to my paranoia from laners' higher levels other than counter jungling so it helps with getting those 6 stacks as quickly as possible

I know BoTRK and Last Whisper important but I'm not too much of a fan of the usual all-shred-tank-items-build so I build one tank shredding item depending on whether the enemy builds armour or builds health (Last Whisper vs BoTRK). Usually I end up building BoTRK anyway.

Then I build a tank item, or sometimes earlier if I feel it's really required. It all depends on whether I'm against a comp where I would build Tabi or Merc, or if I'm up against mixed damage. Otherwise, I go frozen mallet because of the fun slow.

I'm still new to Kindred, but I do like this build because it lets my team mates chase down enemies easily, giving me assists and more stacks than if I built full AS and on hit damage. Challenging smite also gives me a ton of damage but it's DoT that's refreshed every auto so it doesn't take too much to make the most out of it.

In teamfights I slow whoever is in range after an initiation, and avoid going too far in unless their tank is actually easy to ignore for some reason. When team fights start happening I usually mark the ADC or tank because they're either almost always confirmed to be hit by me, or because they get focused most of the time.

Well, I played him only a few times, but did good every time. I went item 3930 >> item 3134 >>item 3153 >>finish item 3142 >>item 3085 >>item 3035 if needed Boots, I went item 3006 So, end game with ~10 stacks, BOTRK and 4th proc of Sated, it dealt ~40% of enemy current HP

Why bother building Chilling smite with BoTRK though, they have the same effect. I do think that 40% HP looks nice.

Math: 12.5% current HP at 10 stacks 8% current HP from BoTRK 4th proc applies both of these twice 12.5+8=20.5 (12.5+8)*2=41% Yep it's ~40%. Average: every fourth attack applies an extra, 4 attacks = 5/4 of an attack on average. (12.5+8*5/4)-20.5=25.625-20.5=5.125% Each stack is 1.25% health damage. 4.1 stacks = 5.125%

Sated devourer, excluding the +30 magic damage on hit, is with 4.1 stacks. Kindred will get 12-15 stacks in an average game. More than a quarter of a whole Kindred's gameplay can be achieved by stacking Devourer in tandem with Wolf's marks, if BoTRK is bought soon after. Then, 30*5/4 = 37.5 extra magic damage on average.

Excluding things like rage from Trinity or furor's from boots, Devourer with BoTRK grants 8.5 (35/4) minutes worth of stacking 37.5 average increase of damage All this multiplied by the increased attack speed Proccing things more often

I just tend to like chilling much more if enemy doesn't have any stealth champ. No real reason. I just love all the chasing power I get from chilling smite+BOTRK+E+Youmuus

Well, i tend to agree with saint.

item 3930 item 3931 is kind of silly on a snowball based champ, it also doesn't scale terribly well considering it's neutered for ranged champs. item 3714 into item 3071 item 3153 bruiser is rather strong, i mean you dont need to build pure offensive when you deal a lot of % damage.
