Didn't think it was possible, they sure proved me wrong
Azir 38% winrate Kassadin 37% winrate
Didn't think it was possible to go under 38%

I once had a team mate saying if the enemy picked
they would counter her with
they picked
I instantly dodged on the spot
Good job. shiver the horror
They obviously hadn't heard about the nerf, poor fellow, because he kind of did work against her before they crippled his stride.
He was actually a really awesome counter to Kat when he had a silence...
He still can interrupt her ult.... if he gets in range
wading through flurry of blades and daggers "Ah ha! Be silenced! ...erm, canceled!"
"I'm already finished old man."

I salute you sir. I dodge when there is a katarina on their team.
just a reminder that we never had champions below 40% since urgot
was zil lower at times?
Someone said that Syndra once had a 25% winrate. Is this true?
Yeah, she received one of the largest buffs in league shortly after release because of that.
Didn't think it was possible to go under 38%
Morello: "Challenge Accepted"
Let's theory craft. Whatever balanced and underplayed champion will they kill next? Ooh. You know who's pretty underwhelming? Shyvana. We should make it so that her E deals half damage to champions, her Q no longer applies double on hit effects, and her R no longer has a dash involved. They need to get rid of her dash on her ult because it contributes to the mobility creep.
Hit 32.78% the other day...ahhh...memories...
I will miss mid lane...
Release Yasuo had a pretty abysmal winrate of 32% I think. Mostly because no one knew how to play him. Release Yasuo is still the strongest iteration of Yasuo that ever graced the game.

He got buffed in like 4 different ways directly after being released tho didn't he?

The Patch right after caused Stattik Shiv to have its damage reduced on him, his Q to now always be smartcasted, his W to not kill ally Syndra Spheres? (Good Job Rito) and the Animation for his Ult to be 0.1 seconds shorter. He got some QoL buffs but a huge numerical nerf with that Shiv reduction. Everything thereafter was basically a nerf.
I remember Season 1 Eve, I knew they still had it in 'em.
What about
?
don't you just hate the fuckers at Riot enjoying all this shit, those self-serving biased pigs
Just a sprinkle of salt on the eggs my friend.
Ah, how the mighty have fallen.
Suck it nerdz
Lol what? the lowest winrate was Eve's after they gutted her in season 1. 33% never forget
I heard release syndra was in the 20s
release syndra was the lowest, at a whopping 28% i believe. they instantly buffed her a few days after release, increasing damage on everything and raising her winrate at the time to 44%.
They didn't buff her (at least not as much as you are implying), they fixed a shit ton of bugs that made her unplayable and clunky
they fixed almost every bug and buffed the damage on every ability except her ult, i believe. i'd have to look it up to be sure though

They buffed her Q by 0.1 and her ult by 0.2 total. They also buffed her E missile speed.
She was freelo but not for you, for enemy.

Pretty sure it was a combination of numerical buffs and Quality of Life improvements to make her feel more flowy.
V1.0.0.148:
Dark Sphere Damage increased to 70/110/150/190/230 from 60/100/140/180/220. Ability power ratio increased to 0.6 from 0.5. Mana cost reduced to 40/50/60/70/80 from 50/60/70/80/90.
Scatter the Weak Range increased to 650 from 600. Missile speed increased to 2500 from 2000. Improved sphere stun detection when a sphere is first knocked away.
Force of Will Throw Range increased to 950 from 900.
Unleashed Power Ability power ratio per sphere increased to 0.2 from 0.15.
That's quite a lot of buffing, There's also some bugfixes and QoL changes (Ult not setting off cooldown if target dies before it's cast, W grab/throw made smoother, EQ collision detection etc.)

Am I the only person laughing that they tried to nerf her by undoing one of her very first bug fixes that was supposed to take her from unplayable to playable? I don't even like Syndra but that is just so ironic because most people felt it had left her unplayable and made her super buggy after the nerf.
Riot never ceases to amaze me.

So basically what happens every time they release a new mage.
Release Syndra tho
New champions (unless brokenly OP) and reworked champions or ones with major changes typically have an otherwise alarming win rate due to people not knowing optimal playstyle/build path. It generally recovers a bit over time. I'm not saying that the champs are balanced, just stating an observation.
But mobility creep is still a big thing that Rito isn't doing anything about, amirite?

Yes, actually, it is. Nerfing only Kassadin didn't change that. Especially when in literally the same patch they annihilate one of the few remaining actual counters to mobility.
Veigar is getting buffed next patch tho. He was more of carry counter than a mobility counter since there are so many ways to getting around his stun later on.
Well kassadin actually payed for his mobility in that it was his ult and that it had an insane mana cost with stacks... and the stacks takes a long time to drop off (15 or 20 seconds or something I think?) And his damage isn't the best when compared to other assassins
With the existence of blue buff and an ability that refunds mana, Kassadin's mana problems were virtually non-existent. He could cast his ult 3-4 times per fight. It's a good thing his damage wasn't as good. He has AoE, can easily switch targets and move out. He also has access deathcap, one of the best scaling items in the game. His MR shield and the nature of the 2 mana stacking items makes him more of a bruiser than an assassin, anyway.
