Can Kennen top?

Just picked him up, lost lane pretty hard to a rumble top. Does kennen counter certain top laners? Or is it something you just do if you're good with him?

Kennen counters a lot of top laners because of his cc. It allows him to continuously damage the enemy even if you dont have crazy burst against tanks/fighters. I play kennen in the mid lane sometimes. Hes a bit easier since he can really more easily burst the enemy mid laner, on top of the fact that he has crazy cc.

Kennen is played by pro players as a top laner. He's specifically picked into Gnar, but I suspect he does well into GP and other carry top laners too.

Recently Kennen has entered a good spot and is used frequently in high ELO. So yes, but he takes a lot of macro (decision making) skill.
