Since the Tank META makes a lot more threats to ADCs. This helps ADCs survive more.

Tanks, fighters, assassins, mages, ranged tops, etc. all go in and out of fashion. There are even teams with zero AP champs, zero tanks, zero melees, zero divers, zero mages, etc. in LCS.
But know what doesn't exist?
A competitive team without a ranged AD carry.
