General Synopsis of the Lanes
So I was thinking earlier, about LoL because i'm a massive nerd, and I got to thinking about how the gameplay in each lane goes to work. This is what i came up with:
Top lane: This lane is a lane of picking the right battles. Most of the duelists here can beat the others under the right (or wrong) circumstances. You have to be careful of when to engage and when not to, as your opponent does. You have to be able to recognize opportunities and weaknesses, and know when your opponent has them on you.
Jungle: This is all about raw decision making. Ganking, jungling, backing, counter jungling, warding, scuttling, setting up epics, there is so much to keep track of, so much more than the lanes. You have to decide where is worth your time to invest, and where you have to set aside. It's all about allocation of resources here.
Mid: The lane of Reflex. This is where the twitchiest players go. This lane is all about twitch reflexes and outplays. There isn't so much strict decisions as snap judgements. You're still choosing whether or not to go in on a given situation, but it's very moment to moment, it's much faster and less methodical than top lane.
ADC: This is where one wants to feel like a King. You have your servant to defend you + bring you snacks, while you feast away in comfort. You are farming, occasionally trading, and that's about it. You are mostly dependent on your Support to do most of the heavy lifting here, you just have to go along.
Support: This role is all about control. You are controlling the lane, zoning the enemy adc and suport, warding, sweeping, using relic if you roll that way, peeling for your adc. You have to keep all those things in mind at once. This one I'd compare to a jungler, because you have to keep your zone of control and power a large as possible, except only the adc will flame you if you lose, while the jungler gets flamed by everyone.
These are just my thoughts. Sorry I might be a bit rambly or off in other ways, it's current 3 in the morning, i have to wake up in 3 hours, and i've yet to do what I need to tonight.
