Riot used Assassin Buff! It was super effective! Aurelion Sol fainted!
I'm an
main.
Sure, sure, yeah, people can say he does almost nothing and can win teamfights by standing still, but that's not the point. Whatever he does, he's still a normal champ that should be balanced and playable.
However, Riot nerfed him a week after they released him. Then they nerfed him again in the summer. And then they nerfed him again recently.
It's enough that without all the nerfs, he was extremely vulnerable to assassins. With the nerfs, it's almost impossible to lane against someone like
. And if you get ganked? Forget it.
He's just counterable by too much, it seems. From my experience, as soon the enemy mid-laner picks
,

,
,
,
, or if the enemy jungler picks
,
,
, or if they pick just about ANY assassin- it seems like lane is already lost.
I understand some of these might be my own misplaying, but for the most part, I know they're very hard counters.
And now, it seems Riot wants to buff Assassins... will there be much point playing him at all if he's countered by such a large group of champs?
