"electrocute is strong so we're nerfing/buffing champions around it"

Here's a thought nerf electrocute.

Jarvan does too much damage with Electrocute so we're nerfing him. https://i.imgur.com/r9hWlvf.png

Ivern is too squishy and we're blaming it on Electrocute so we're buffing him. https://i.imgur.com/IzrctGE.png

This is just going to turn out like cinderhulk and Sejuani. Eventually the keystone will get nerfed and none of the changes to champions because of it will be reverted. If Electrocute truly is the problem, then nerf it instead of dictating the new meta champions.

I get what you mean, but I can play devil’s advocate here and say that they’re targeting fringe cases. Jarvan is the best jungler in the preseason right now. I can’t really speak for Ivern, but if Electrocute was the big problem, wouldn’t all junglers that synergize with it have excessively high win rates?

Can we actually get rid of full lethality J4. I didn't mind him when he wasn't one-shotting me faster than Evelynn.

The problem isn't Electrocute, its Electrocute and X champion. Plenty of champions are using Electrocute in a balanced way, so changing Electrocute just for two champions doesn't make sense.

Electrocute is not too strong though, it has a massive CD early (50s).

If you want to complain about actual too strong keystones complain about Grasp and Aftershock.

Their context is kinda shitty and poorly thought out, but they do have the right idea. Jarvan is one of the few junglers who can opt into Cinderhulk over Warrior and still do well enough early game and transition into a tanky role mid-late game. I am fine with these changes. If you want to deal deal than build AD.

Jarvan was already decently OP before so it makes sense to nerf him. I do agree with what you're saying though.

This is the balance team we’re talking about. They take a trial and error approach to their game instead of a “do it right the first time” approach
