So I should probably start playing ADC instead of Mid, right?

Trust me, it's not adc. Low elo doesn't know how to play well as a team and few people are going to bother peeling for you.

1-Mid 2-Top 3-JG

Avoid ADC Support

Mid: The selection of mid lane characters, involves tactical mage nuklear war heads Syndra Veigar who will legit destroy any adc in team fights or high roaming assassins Talon Zed who can snow ball out of control and basically replace the jungler. The characters for mid lane are powerful, capable of doing many things, and are in a great position to roam and snow ball.

Downsides: Expect to be camped every fucking game if you are playing good. Like expect the fucking enemy support, the jungler and top laner to gank you at five minutes.

TOP: Through unkillable tanks with heavy cc like Sion Maokai you can take over team fights and be every enemy carries worse nightmare as you zone them out of the fight, while peeling for your own carries. The entire enemy team will have to specifically itemize just so they can kill you. You have other great top laners like Fiora Jayce who become split pushing nightmares capable of two v oneing and can shred towers in seconds if you leave them alone. For both the tanks and the carries if they get a good TP gank, you can win the game souly off of that.

Downsides: If your team starts feeding before you are in a position where you can TP to help them, life feels pretty bad. All you can do at this point is try your best to squash your lane opponent and get a lead bigger than the other guy who is fed on the enemy team. Split push and become a two v one nightmare if you can.

JG: As the jungler no matter who you are playing, your job is to defend the jungle, obtain vision for your team, and be the leader of surprise attacks, since you are in this position where you no longer need to worry about last hitting or fighting, you can read the map lesiurly at any time to form a battle plan to win the game. You can roam at all times to help your teamates, and as a good jungler you turn the game into your chess board.

Downsides: You will have games where absolutely everyone on your team is feeding, and you will be absolutely worthless, all you can do at this point is take a deep breath and accept your most likely going to lose that game. The reason this is a downside is for Jungle is probably the most helpless position when all three lanes are hard feeding.

Why avoid bot lane in low elo? Bot lane is a flip of the coin, if you have a good team while you are a good adc or support, you can win your team the entire game and be easily the MVP as you dish out shit loads of DPS, or do constant shields to make your teamates unkillable. However on the other side of the coin, as an adc you can't dps if no one on your team is tanky enough to peel, as an support, your shields and heals mean nothing if no dps is coming from your team.

Mid. What do you expect to do if you get peeled, zoned, poked, and etc with a bad support on your side?

Now imagine that with a Soraka that can do all that AND heal.

Best roles to carry through solo queue are statistically Jungle and Mid.

Good luck! [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

I think it depends more so on champions then lanes.

As someone climbing out of bronze with both, Mid if you’re playing a character with carry potential (I’m rocking Katarina) And ADC if you have a support friend.

I find mid to be the best solo queue carry position

How accurate are your skillshots? If they are on point, mid. If not, jungle. Tops not a bad lane but there is only so much you can do around teleport to influence other lanes. Mids got roam potential and can push on tower/contest objectives like dragon barron and respond to invades. Jungle can impact all lanes and has snowball options. You can win and climb bronze as a support main, you just need to be ones who can impact a lane strongly in what might be a 2 on 1. Same for adc, how ever you will also need to look for adcs who function well even with out peel and are not super tied down by positioning. Ultimately once your mechanics are high enough above the players there you will start to climb and get out. You can be better then most bronze players, but if its not a large enough gap it may take you a very long time to move out of it as the weight your able to carry is not quite significant enough for a majority of matches.

The most important thing you can do to get out of bronze is look at every game even ones that clearly are lost from your teammates screwing up and find where you could have done better. Curious how the hell you lost a match that shoulda been a win? take a moment look over the replay. Every end game lobby, Look at your stats and check the numbers. Everybody says "don't tilt" and that's great advice. Yet I also want to encourage you to actively try to keep teammates from tilting. games still winnable, relax guys don't flame, just mute echother. Folks who spend time typing rage are folks not csing or making plays.

Thing a lot of players at upper elo forget, bronze matches do not play out the same, Lane phase can and will randomly end at any given moment... 8 min 5 man mid trying to push to hibi? yep. 14 min master yii has 16 kills? yep. 0-8-0 lane that trys once more to solo 100% to 0 the dude that killed them 8 times? yep. Take barron despite having an quad kill and nexus is open? yeeeeep.

Whatever you're most comfortable as.

I suggest mid to keep your mid from feeding on Yas or Zed. Top gives you better carry potential than mid (especially with someone like Shen), but requires your team to not completely go to shit.

Jungle or Mid. Pick a tanky champion that has burst like Xin or Wukong, and exploit the hell out of their lack of map awareness. When your team is trying you start a stupid teamfight, or the enemy team is chasing, split push, or secure an objective.

In Bronze/Silver/Gold they're both bad. Mid is worse though. Problem with mid and bot lanes in low ranks is that they require teamwork for win conditions. Jungle and top lane can take towers anywhere on the map and they can do it solo so you can break the quagmire of non-stop skirmishes mid-late game.
