Zed should never have been "balanced" around forcing his opponents to build QSS and Zhonya's. With those two items getting nerfed and reworked Zed is probably in a position to receive direct nerfs and an eventual rework. I wish he had been Olaf'd six months ago. Too bad Riot is biased towards #LCSBIGPLAYS. But since the QSS and Zhonya's being able to counter his ult somewhat reliably gave Riot (and highly biased Youtubers) an excuse for his power. That excuse pretty much flew out the window. I hope to god that he will become permabanned in all draft modes and Riot will be forced to rebuild his kit. The closer he gets to 100% pick or ban the better.

I agree that Zed is a bit too strong atm, season 6 gave him so many extra tools to assasinate his targets (thunderlord's and item 3147 for example) while not leaving much counterplay.

I never liked that QSS removed Zed's ult, it just felt weird. I think it is a good thing they removed this interaction, but let's face it: Zed is now going to be super strong when it comes to removing ADCs from game as they currently have NO WAY of countering his R (maybe aside from taking exhaust which I've seen few ADCs do).

He needs nerf. Hard.

Yeah poor adcs can only self peel, heal themself, get healed by supp, peeled by supp and tanks, maybe position well? I'm so sick of this argument. His Job is to assassinate enemy carries and you guys come up like: OMG AN ASSASSIN CAN KILL OUR CARRY ! NERF HIM HARD.

The argument isn't that he can execute your adc almost instantly, it's the lack of counter play and safety he gets while doing it.

Um, you can't really peel or heal against Zed's combo, that includes invincibility and a free escape.

What is with you people and the rework/gut Zed.

Like it or not, his kit is still the healthiest among assassins and if he's touched it will only be to move power to his ult.

Well nvm, cause Riot has been very questionable lately with everything.

But logically, with the QSS and Zhonya changes, a fair amount of Zed's power will be shifted into his ult. His early game harassment will be less prominent, forcing more risk to get ahead.

Nothing more, just numbers shifts are needed.

Are all assassins with an innate lack of gameplay in their kits.

Honestly, getting on the bandwagon is just stupid.

Champs that don't have healthy kits with lots of gameplay in them are picked based on pure stats. If you gut those healthy champs, you get the next tier of assassins.

The assassins that will jump on you and delete you with a point and click combo. Champs that have such good stats that they can be seen itemizing as bruisers and deleting you.

They aren't picked because they are straight feast or famine and thus not reliable, but the moment they become equally reliable without any mechanics changes, they will send you to the forums to cry faster than any Zed ever could.

And because they're picked based on which one does the job of click to delete the best, you'll be cycling through them very slowly as you wait 2-3 patches each for a nerf.

You don't want Zed to be gutted and you definitely don't want it done before the assassin update.

Thank u, finally ONE with reasoning. I absolutely HATE eve and akali and Panth. Y'all talking about counterplay. Every Eve i've seen so far carried the game on her on, out of stealth and you are dead. Tank akali who still click and point jumps on you and instadeletes u. Pantheon is the worst of them all. To LeBlanc i must say many were too dumb to play against her. QSS for example worked (still works?) on her Qs to reduce her burst, but i haven't seen a single adc using it to prevent me from bursting them down.

Yeah it's sad. You have either adcs complaining who don't know positioning or itemization or mage "mains" who when i play against them as Zed come into the game without any armor runes and go melee on caster minions to lasthit them and complain that they get some Qs into their face. And if i look up their summoner profiles 90% of them never even played zed and if they did they played him badly and dropped him after 5 games. But still they are crying "FREELO! ZED SO BROKEN HURR DURR". That's why i loved playing Zed in urf to demolish all the other fotm Zeds in a 1v1

If he is pick or ban they will be FORCED to meaningfully nerf him. Zhonya's and QSS lowering his effectiveness, especially at the highest levels of play, provided an excuse not to nerf or rework him.

If he becomes pick or ban at high level play they will be FORCED to nerf him.

I remember seeing a red post about how they were going to closely monitor zed when they remove QSS'ing his ult and nerf accordingly. Hopefully it doesn't take too long to do it.

He won't become pick and ban. Zed just doesn't fit into LCS meta that well. Teamwork easily takes him out of the game.

How much indirect buffs can the fucker receive before the give him an actual nerf (no, this slaps on the wrist he got don't count as meaningful)? Since preseason it's been nothing but buffs for Zed; new masteries, heavy AD meta, an item tailor-made for him, sizeable nerf of an AP counter item and removal of AD counter item option.

Old Zed had a bit more risk in the sense that you didn't press 'r', then 'r' back 2500+ range away, but his ultimate was purposefully nerfed, (changed to essentially this) because his old ultimate gave him to much sticking and dueling power. Having 'r' put a shadow behind the target slowed and gave him another window to dodge an abilty, so his death mark was nerfed to promote counterplay. Same deal with his 'e', use to be maxed first, then they upped the CD by about 1 second and shifted some damage to Q I believe.

Riot thinks long term not patch to patch. Players tend to think about right now and at their own elo. That is the source of 80% or more of boards toxicity towards Riot.

Though I feel like the reason I'm thinking about right now is because there's literally no reason for me to play the cesspool that is 6.9. So I'm basically forced out until further notice. :\

So, honestly, they deserve any of the toxicity aimed at them. Maybe they should have been more careful with how much influence they wield over things.

See you'd like to think that, but it's not that we think Zed will be OP without that interaction, it's that Riot won't care. That train of thought is completely dependent on Riot agreeing that Zed is a problem and needs adjustment, forgive any scepticism.
