More importantly, you're not going to get a Riven this bad in every single match. I just won a match with an AFK top laner on my team. That doesn't happen all the time either. Amazingly, most of your games will be a fair blend of skill level for the people at that ELO.

You're missing the point.
Your post is titled How do you climb ranked when you get Rivens that are outdamaged by your bard support.
That game was probably still winable given how well it appears your Cait did. One bad player isn't going to lose a game for you. So my answer is - you climb ranked by not whining about one player in one match.
