When most champions have weak skills, it is because their power budget is used up elsewhere

W and R are mediocre because Rocket Grab is incredible.

Passive and E are dogshit, but his Q-W combo is one of the best combos in the game.

Q is bad enough that you don't even rank it until you have to, but his W turns him into the games best lategame ADC, if you can protect him.

His Q is a short ranged gap closer that deals low damage in an area, and knocks up people in the very center. Unfortunately, it is also cancelled by almost every CC in the game.

His W heal is pretty damn bad when he is above half health, and his W damage is decently high, but it has enough strings attached that it is not even worth it a lot of the time. (Health cost is based on your AD, and lifesteal is disabled on a Blood Price attack).

His E is just bad. It has medium range, but it moves slowly and quickly gets too thin to actually hit anything with. When you do manage to hit something, it isn't even rewarding, since the damage on this spell is ass and the slow is mediocre at best.

His R basically does its best to turn Aatrox into a real champion for the duration, but it is not without its problems. The damage is pretty good, but it falls off late game. Since the flat damage doesn't matter so much lategame, look at what the steroid is. 12 seconds of +60% attack speed and +175 attack range. If it didn't have the flat damage, this would be (at best) on par with a Kayle E; a basic ability.

Presumably, this would be to make up for having a revive passive, but his revive is the worst one in the game. If you have a full blood well, Aatrox will come back to life with between 141.75 and 1174.5 health, based on level. On top of that, you lose your entire blood well, so you come out with 30-55% less attack speed than you had before.

I am pretty sure that Aatrox is in line for a rework (eventually), but in the meantime, could you do some Urgot level changes to him, just some band-aid buffs to help him limp along?

Just some things like "Dark Flight can no longer be cancelled", "Your blood well can be increased through stats, and procing a health cost restores a % of the well", or increasing the projectile speed of E would help a great deal.
