I feel like recent reworks made some champions even more obnoxious than they already were

The title is self explanatory, but let me go into details.

First, we had the Irelia rework. This is what Reav3 said about her back in January:

Like I mentioned before, we’re keeping her current Q, Bladesurge, as we believe it’s a great ability that’s core to Irelia, and we’ll even be spicing it up by giving her more reset opportunities. The rest of her kit is going through pretty big changes to help fully realize her theme. We still want to maintain her strength against ranged champions and want her to be able to fight at a relatively long range (for a fighter), poking at her enemies with a thousand tiny cuts before surging in for the kill.

Well, your choice to give her EVEN MORE resets was the biggest mistake with Irelia, imo. Personally I had no issues with her before the rework, now I absolutely hate going against her and she feels like a tanky Yasuo that ouscales you no matter what. The fact that she can potentially dash 10 or more times in a teamfight because both her E and ult apply a mark is also very bad for skillshot reliant champions. You either pick a point and click CC, or Irelia (a good one, at least) will just destroy your team while spamming her non-existent mana cost Q all over your team. No wonder Irelia is the 2nd most banned champion in Diamond+, with a 66% ban rate.

Possible solutions would be increasing the Q mana cost (it's ridiculous that it only costs 20 mana) or working further on marks, because the endless dashing (along with the stupid tankiness from W and her overload of CC) is absolutely awful to play against.

Then Akali came out... and we all know what happened. Quoting Reav3 talking about her:

We want to give her more options for success by playing up her ability to hide in plain sight. We think her Shroud is an awesome and iconic ability and want to push it even further.

Okay, technically you hit the mark thematically, but oh boy, was it executed poorly. Akali's shroud is the true definition of a zero counterplay ability. It's as big as midlane when it's fully formed, lasts several seconds, and Akali only gets revealed for less than ONE SECOND when she attacks from shroud. I have an average ping of 42ms and I can't even autoattack her before she disappears again. On top of that, it also allows her to dive freely because it takes turret aggro off from her and NOTHING makes her targetable. Akali was indeed frustrating before the rework, and one of the main complaints was that after 6 she just proceeded to dive people even though she was behind just because her kit allowed her to do so. But with the rework you managed to make her even worse when it comes to dives or counterplay, and all because of the shroud. Guess what, Akali is the most banned champion in Diamond+, with a 76% ban rate.

Tl;dr: some reworks made champions even worse than before when it comes to counterplay/being fair to play against. Irelia and Akali are both perfect examples of this, and they've been both almost P/B in Dia+ since release.

Their most recent revert as well.
