I'm gonna miss the little things with Urgot

So I was reading what Reav3 wrote about Urgot in their State of Champion Update post recently and he wound up saying this: "Urgot…where do I even start with Urgot. Many Rioters have had their spirits broken trying to make sense of Urgot’s kit. Urgot is like the poster child of champions with confused thematics, kit, visuals, and narrative. He’s a ranged character with a knife-hand, he’s a Marksman that’s also kind of a tank, that swaps himself INTO the enemy team. He’s Noxian but he looks like he’s from Zaun. There’s A LOT of stuff going on with Urgot that have made him a very difficult champion to rework, but we are happy to announce that we finally have a solid direction for Urgot that we want to go into production with. "

Being a fan of the Urgod, I was so happy to read their description of him but at the same time, I'm so worried about what they could possibly have in store for him. I get exactly why they want to change him and I understand why he can't be allowed to function well as such a mess (although he functions fine as is), but I still can't help but think that I'm gonna miss the glorious catastrophe that is . The champ is distressingly ugly, and his conflicting thematics all come together to create this mound of apathetic malice that just brings me so much joy to play. Enemies are tilted when the disgusting blob of man boobs and stitches with his older character model just dumps his q's on them from long range, and even more tilted when they get close and he does the dance of his people to swap places and become a temporary tank god.

His ult is completely against his other abilities (except partially w), his auto range is against all of his kit, and his lack of mobility outside of ult goes against his e,w,q kiting combo, bc kiting is harder with no mobility (hurr durr who knew?). His discolored flesh is an eyesore and his voice sounds like nails on a chalkboard, but despite all of that he is so unique, it is crazy beautiful.

Not a single other champion can do all the things Urgot can accomplish, even if some of them can do some of it better than him. As a carry, he's a bit iffy, but as a secondary force of gelatinous terror, he functions so well. His theme winds up being conflicted because his theme has developed into something beyond a tank or bruiser or marksman. He is, for all purposes, a violent, disgruntling mess. That is his theme currently, and he delivers beautifully. Even his skins are amazing for that (except battlecast. It takes away from the disgusting). I don't know where they'll take Urgot with his rework. All I can hope for is that he'll get to keep as much of himself as possible. I hope he's hideous still and an artillery carry at least, but I know it's too much to hope for a tanky aspect too. They have graves for that now, so idk if our boy Urg can expect that one. Who knows what the future will hold? This isn't my first time getting a champ I loved redone ( ) and they arguably did well with most of them, so I guess I'll just have a bit of faith. I'm just gonna miss the pieces that I know will have to be left behind in the Urgod as he moves onwards towards a new horizon. A new Urgod is coming, and I'm hyped for it even if it'll be different from the one I've come to love.
