Why do you folks buy skins

In rare instances do I find skins useful. I like yasuos project skin because it makes a noticeable sound each hit and helps you get an idea if youre landing your Q's, etc.

Some others like teemo omega squad make a much more noticable sound on shrooms and blinding darts.

But I probably wouldnt spend 20 bucks on a skin. Why? Wouldnt you rather purchase champions on sale. spend the IP on runes, and save urself the time to earn the money for those 6300 IP champs?

Seriously save the money and go buy yourself an icecream, or movie tickets for 2, or a blowjob or something

Thats the amount of time i roughly play League per day.

So i don't mind spending some money to make my Champion look cooler considering the amount of time i spend on the Rift.

I run with a rule of thumb on games. If you meet about an hour per dollar with your purchases you're getting your money's worth.

I play a lot of league, spend most all of my days off of work doing so (I don't want to get up and do stuff cause my job is very physically demanding).

I have definitely gotten my money's worth.

People like the idea of customization in games. This game happens to charge players for it, but if you consider the cost to be worth it, then there isn't a problem. And the more players spend, the more Riot can do for the players. It's basic economics!

I buy skins. Well, mostly I buy mystery skins. Looking back, I wish I hadn't spent as much because a lot of those skins are for champs I don't play as much, but I love the random aspect. It's basic gambling!

You play your game and spend your money your way, I'll spend my money my way. I think its wasteful to spend money on champions because you can get them through playing the game, something you'll be doing anyway. You generally won't get skins as frequently as you will champions (due to Hextech being a slower process), and a skin on sale has more merit than a champion on sale on account of the difficulty in obtaining skins. I understand this is most likely a troll post, but you really don't take into consideration why people would enjoy seeing different spins on a character they love to play as something they want to put money into.

It's part of a hobby and game immersion. For some, buying skins is worth it for the feeling of satisfaction they get.

Take World of Warcraft, for example, players buy digital stuffs hard core on that game from a few bucks $ to $$$$$$$$ for an in-game item.

A $20 skin is only a half-hour of work for me, so I don't really see the point.

Besides, I'm not a fan of ice cream and I already go see movies with other friends whenever something good comes out.

Don't need to buy a blowjob because I have a girlfriend.

I've gotten far more entertainment from the skins I purchase than I would ever get by spending the same amount of money on going to movies. League is very nearly the only thing I spend money on aside from essential day-to-day expenses, and I'm quite happy with my choice.

I have every champion I want for starter.

And I'm financial comfortable enough to get skins without having to worry about drawbacks.
