The new champion select is really good....except that we HAVE to press the lock-in button

Was there a particular reason why this was implemented Riot? I liked the autolock at the very end of your timer. It gave me until the last seconds to change my mind on a champ if needed. Or alternatively, if I didn't know who to play, I could cycle between two champs until one was locked in for me. Also it was just nice that I don't have to think about locking in.

This second complaint probably just take some getting used to but, I have been kicked from champ select multiple times now due to someone not remembering to lock in a champ. +10 minute wait time for no reason.

My god, change is always uncomfortable. It doesn't require a post.

Anything that forces these children to make a decision is fine by me. If anything, this should lead to quicker starts.

except it doesn't, its leading to longer queue timers and more dodges, so it has every right to be posted.

I mentioned both why this change is actually detrimental to the champion select process as well as the part that will just take some getting used to. Please read the post.

Here is the way I see it, would you rather longer queue's with people who are 100% going to sit there and press lock in, or would you rather short queue times with more afks? Currently i have seen a massive decrease in afk's already! Its a small impediment to fix a large problem.

You might have to rephrase that. What was the issue in the first place? The queues are about 3 seconds for me right now.

When I do premades or ranked premades, we've started to say " Okay. I'm going X. If X gets banned I'm going Y. "

That way we KNOW what we want to play, what we MIGHT have to play, or whatever happens happens.

Usually I just say I'm playing Bard. :l

They did that because the majority of pbe testers preferred the autolock
