@Riot, I don't think Darius is being nerfed in the right places.

Now, I know that Riot is already nerfing Darius, (mostly his early game damage) but I don't think they're hitting him in the right place.

"Juggernauts are melee titans who relentlessly march down the opposition and devastate those foolish enough to get within their grasp. They are the only subclass who excel at both dealing and taking significant amounts of damage, but in turn they have a tough time closing in on targets due to their low range and extremely limited mobility". -Riot Games The thing is, is that Darius does not have such a hard time closing the gap between him and his target due to his E, and in turn, when he hooks them in, they get knocked with a 90% slow. And heaven forbid they fight him because of how his passive works. Basically, he has to be treated very similarly to a ranged character because his area of control is so much bigger than the average juggernaut. This leads to a very frustrating and oppressive laning phase where he outshines most juggernauts while simultaneously outscaleing them (massive true damage ult anyone?)

The thing is, with all of the other juggernauts, you either have the option of walking away or just staying out of their much smaller area of control. Now, With all of the above text in mind, these are the nerfs I propose:

AA range: ~~175 ~~-> 125

With Darius having so many other ranged abilities, on top of his damage, other laners should at least be given an opportunity to win a trade with him, especially given that juggernauts have to struggle with range

E Slow: 90% for 1 second -> 40% decaying over 1.5 seconds

Juggernauts trade off CC and mobility for damage and tankiness. However, Darius as of present has so much CC packed into his kit that would make some tanks jealous. As such, it seems to be sensible to knock power out of the slow that makes him so hard to get away from and so frustrating to play against.

These are my thoughts on Darius and how nerfing him in such a way that maintains his strengths (damage) but emphasises his weaknesses (kiteability, lack of range) would be much better for his sustainability as a healthy champion.

That AA nerf is way more serious than you think it is.
