Discussion: Feeding Teammates

So, I recently played a game in a lower elo than usual, and I have to say I was amazed at how rude and disrespectful they were. As a jungler, your job is to gank lanes, correct? So I would ping that I was on the way, then I would wait in the bushes by the river at each lane.

Every. Time. I. Ganked.

My teammates would back up. For the record, I gank lanes that clearly need help, and it so happened that bot lane needed help. The ADC had disconnected due to internet troubles, and that left the support to hug tower. But they weren't hugging tower. They had been trying to do damage.

Anywho, since the support was being extremely aggressive, I felt that I should gank while they were about to go in.

The second I went in the support ran away, leaving me to 1v2 a Twitch and a Pantheon, who were both fed off of the support giving them kills. The support noticed that I was in trouble, then walked in and started auto attacking.

I dunno, I'm writing this fifteen minutes after the match, and I am truthfully pretty flustered. I didn't know a team could be so incompetent. By the end of the match, the only person who was positive was a Yasuo going mid, who was 8/5. All the others were either even or negative.

This was extremely irritating for me and I know I should blame myself for:

  1. Playing in a low elo
  2. Expecting them to know what they're doing
  3. Getting frustrated over this because it's silly and it's just a game.

Yeah people are probably gonna call me a noob for this discussion, and truthfully I'm not even the best at the game myself. I just get flustered when people feed then blame the jungler because they can't hold their lane.

BTW: I was Jungling as Volibear , and the Support was Nautilus

I have played Volibear ever since when I started and he was free to play. I immediately got RP to buy him because I knew I loved playing him. So I've played Voli for quite a while and I think I sort of know what I'm doing! xD

Hopefully I can shed some light on this for I also have the same issue. First, off I wouldn't be to upset about this issue it boils down to the fact that the support has no idea what they are doing and that they don't understand what actually a "jungler" is. I myself play Adc/Support/Jungler depending on what usually isn't picked. And I've ran into the same issues when I jungled. I've even sometimes had it to the point where people yelled at me for Kill Stealing. ( uhm hello I just saved your life?!)

A lot of lower lvled players attend to pick characters they think look cool and never actually learn the character by watching videos or utilize guides. Try not to get to frustrated with it all :) A jungler is supposed to be there for assistance not lane coverage unless someone DC's and god help us all when that happens..
