Can we talk about what we're going to do to make the higher tiers more fair?

The Series/Promotional matches are by far some of the most stressful and seemingly unfair matches for players across all ranks. Why are only bronze-gold players being considered for this change, or any change? I would, as a player who hasn't been below Plat for seasons, love to get a little... Well, love. Series/Promo matches are just as awful for a bronze player as they are a plat or diamond player. Either be fair and apply this change across the board, or go back to the drawing boards for a fix that will make this system feel more fair to the entire playerbase.

Why do they need to make reaching or maintaining gold or silver even easier every season? It seems silly to just hand out ranks with no effort.

I find promos too long and too stressful. I was thinking of putting one promo game between divisions and 3 to jump to a higher tier.

Promotions from divisions are stupid as hell anyways. If you make it to 100 LP you just move on. However, promotions from entire Leagues, like Silver to Gold, should function as normal. Maybe even make it 6/10 wins to move on. It actually see if you belong in Gold V rather than staying in Silver.

Holy shit are they really considering this? I'm not sure if this makes me happy or sad? I kinda like the concept of giving easier bo3, but getting 2 free wins on the bo5 seems almost too easy. Especially if it is the way it reads and you still play all the games, like you have to win 1 of five games rather than 1 of 3 games (which is still easier to do). If you can brute force the game (play enough games to grind it rather than having a good win percentage) to let you promo off of wining 20% of promo series games, that's not really a ranked system any more. I'd love to have the end of season rewards sure, but making it so that less than plat doesn't matter for bragging rights seems extreme.

Oh, so this is why you were so confident Riot wouldn't remove promos. At least they realize how painful they are to deal with, but I don't see how that changes from bronze-gold to plat and above.

Anything that will reduce the toxicity in 100% of promos to something closer to the average ranked game toxicity would be nice. Also, to reduce the luck out of promos rely on skill.

Either way, promos should be scrapped. Why not a requirement to win X% of your games in a Tier to move up?
