Dodging still counting as a loss in promos?

Why are dodges still counted as a loss when you're in promos? Like why are you punished with a loss for dodging a troll or a bad match up for you? I really feel that the wait time is enough of a punishment.

So you don't just perpetually dodge until you get the precise perfect matchup you want.

Ranking up requires showing skill. Part of that skill is dealing with bad matchups and unfavorable games.
