PSA: If I agree swap roles with you

and specifically tell you I'm weak in that role, then don't fucking flame me when I'm not anything special.

Swapping roles means that I'm putting all my faith into you to carry me while I play very average. Flaming me is just a douche move.

Yeah I would never do that.

I got someone to give me jg. They played mediocre mid and I delivered a jg carry just like I promised.

I made delicious organic turkey burgers and they, like that game, had no added salt.

I gave this guy jungle, and I went ADC. We got level 2 ganked and camped by the jungler, so he flames me for being a shitty adc and feeding.

Also, he said he would carry me with Lee Sin, yet he picked Ekko and played very mediocre.

Why wouldn't you put salt on your turkey burgers you barbarian

ChaoticPinecone3 votes

Turkey burgers are so lean that they need a little bit of spice though. I guess you can get away with it if youre adding stuff like sprouts/avocado/pepperjack cheese and the works on top, but I cant imagine enjoying a saltless turkey patty on a bun.

A saltless turkey patty on a bun is what Riot wants you to have. Put any salt on it and they take your turkey away.

Why are we talking about food

Conversely, if I get you to agree to the lane swap, I still reserve the right to get out-played on occasion. Sorry, please don't flame me =(

Why do you even swap if you know you are weak in that specific role? Just play the role you got and carry yourself instead of giving away your role, handicapping yourself and expect others to carry you.

If its my 2nd (adc) i will agree to swap to top/supp on most ocassions. I dont really hardcarry in any of these roles, maybe its better to have a main ADC? And then i play defensively top, and hopes he can carry :p

I was relatively safe in terms of LP (around 50) so I wanted to be nice.

Lord Vath1 votes

Exactly, and then you get flamed for delivering a lack luster role. I hate some members of this community sometimes.

Or be good at the role you are begging for. Had a game the other night where the support really wanted jungle. Support swapped. The guy who wanted and got jungle was really bad. Didn't gank, had no map awareness, fed a lot.. At least be good at the role if you are asking for it. Please... lol

So much this....

I am with you because if I offer to switch I WILL get fed in the lane that I asked for....especially a counter matchup.

So if you start to feed after trading me I would never be upset with you. I would just get bigger than your laner lol

easy solution. dont agree to swap roles.

you can play in a position you know you can carry, while the other ghuy plays average, or you can get yourself into a position where youll play average and the other guy is a wildcard who might carry you, play average or still fail.

Amen.

I hate when I get mid and the ADC or Toplaner says something along the lines of "Let me mid! I main insert bullshit champion, probably Zed or Yasuo here and can carry!" and then proceeds to feed and flame.

Alsek1 votes

I hate to say this. But, don't swap to a role you're not comfortable with.

Play your best role. Win your lane. Carry the game.

48983507DEL12 votes

I usually agree, but I felt like being nice. I wasn't bad in the role, just mediocre.

Alsek1 votes

I didnt say you were bad. I'm saying you have to push every advantage you can to get that extra 3% or so win rate. Chose things you know to be true (like you knowing your own primary role) over the coinflip of trusting a stranger. ^^;

The problem is all the 1 trick ponies have no idea how to play whatever role they put as their secondary, so they beg for whatever they put as their primary.

Alsek1 votes

Many one trick ponies chose a flex pick that works in multiple roles. Didn't used to be the case. Prettymuch has to be now.

Team: "omg noob mid gg"

Annie is 0/0/0 at the 30 minute mark.

This is why I hate swapping roles. At the very least, it's an accomplishment to have that KDA >.>

I don't think your future teammates are going to see your announcement unless you link it before every match, C+ for effort though.

Orrrrrr just don't swap roles ever. Honestly unless you're high elo and know the person your swapping or are comfortable swapping into that lane then just don't do it.

MrBuffington1 votes

I had the opposite happen to me. So I queued as Top/ADC since I have a thing for Shen right now, but I get ADC. NBD. Top lane asks me to swap, so I gladly agree. They then proceed to feed on Jinx and flame our entire team.

Like.

If you're trying to learn a role and want to swap, that's cool. But if you suck on a role that you asked for, don't flame your team for it.

blkKalameet1 votes

this is why I have learned to play every role to a certain degree. some I'm good with, some I'm bearly passable at, but I can carry almost anything as trundle at this point.

Lord Vath1 votes

This tilts me so hard, especially if you swap into jungle and then the entire team flames you because they lost there lane. I know that none of you are blind, you all read that he wanted top lane and asked to swap. Now look, hes feeding vs a nasus and im struggling to get y in the jungle.

SnowLeopard911 votes

Honestly, the person you're swapping with either picked fill, or picked their role as one of their two preferences. You're better off not swapping, because even if they're better at your chosen role than you are, if you are worse at theirs, it's a net loss to the team, via the Weakest Link Theorem.

The exception is when you're good at both roles - then it can be a net gain, since they might have been the weakest link in the role you're swapping to, but now they're stronger and your strength is roughly the same.

Rowna1 votes

Please be able to play the role i swap with you to a high degree on par with carrying the team to victory. Dont fail and blame me your scapegoat.

Also if i dont swap with you dont afk, ff, flame, rage and pout feed the entire game... Just look at the above and youll know why i wont trade roles with anyone.

Cause i want to win.

Winning makes me happy, not you getting your way. Just so you wont be a duchebag.
