Past 3 games i've had people on my team say gg within 5 minutes of the game going on. Then 2 of us say that we could win, and they respond with "I'd rather just afk and wait 20 minutes."

Why are you playing Ranked if you don't want to try to win? Why are you playing the game at all if you're going to give up so easily? Even if you're behind, you should still play it out. The other team ALWAYS has a chance of throwing, especially at lower elo.

And even if you do lose, have some fucking dignity and try everything you can to win, at least until you get to 20 minutes. You're being a complete douche to the rest of your team by sitting afk in the fountain or intentionally feeding.

Yes. I can't even buy this is normals, but I definitely don't buy it in ranked. There's zero reason to afk and sit around doing nothing unless you legitimately enjoy nothing about playing this game, in which case... Why are you playing...? Definitely play to the end, if for no other reason than to refine your mechanics.

Much is learned in trying to turn around "lost" games. I had one game that was 4-21, and we turned that shit around and won. What a great feeling that was. Wasn't even an AFK or DC on the other team... we just consistently outplayed them from that point onward.

Going off of that, I won a 4v5 when WE had a Vlad that randomly went AFK. We had an Amumu and a Garen, and they carried hard. At one point we had no Nexus turrets, but decimated the enemy team in a teamfight, pushed straight down mid and won. It was insane.

I've come back from -12.8k gold, just because I was Veigar with a Jinx ADC and Xin jungle. Our support wanted to give up, but Xin and I refused to surrender, and we managed to win purely off of playing the map better than the enemy. It was one of the best feelings on the world, and it shows that almost every game is winnable if you try. We were still behind 10k gold when we ended the game.

I have been in a game where we had 3 inhibs down, everyone had lost their lane, but we snuck a baron and turned the game around. This is why I play league.

My most memorable ranked game was when we had 3 inhibs down and nexus at half health. We held base until everyone else fought at baron. I snuck through mid to take their tower, inhib and nexus. Hour and 27 minute long game too.

One of my most memorable games was playing pre-rework corki support. Also had an adc top and mid (Quinn and draven, I believe).

We got the shit beat out of us for 30 minutes, except draven, but even he couldn't take a tower. Rember, this was pre marksman update so adcs didn't have good defensive itemization that let them play in off-meta places.

Then at 30 min, we got a lucky ace in the middle of mid lane. On the then - shorter death timers (25 or 30s I believe) we pushed a single minion wave through all 5 mid towers and the nexus.

I had a game where legit every person on my team was feeding,13 minutes in we were 0 vs 12,but we didn't open mid,we didn't tilt,a lot of us just kept farming and the enemy team didn't group early enough so we ended up catching up and using our superior team comp to win

Fuck me,i was a Sion and a support TahmKench together we freaking 2 vs 4'd the enemy team and got 3 kills the last guy got away but that was well deserved lp

What you are seeing is a social phenomenon that has grown at almost an exponential rate in the last 8 years. Commonly called an entitlement complex, the vast majority of the population between the ages of 14-27 have an unreal expectation that they are entitled to a positive lifestyle. This belief results in individuals exerting minimal effort and expecting a more positive result almost immediately after putting forth effort. If they do not receive there gratification or positive result they will immediately beguine to look for another source of stimulation rather then try again.

That is the brief summery of it. Basically the majority of the population are living in a dream world were they should win at everything because they are a special snowflake. The moment that fantasy is shattered they curl up and kiss there own butt, find a scapegoat because it cant be there fault, and then go back to the fantasy.

Their not there : D but putting that aside, yes that's completly true, and I recently noticed, that this kind of mindset starts to influence me more and more with every game : o terrible thing for a player that plays late game champs almost exclusively. Worst thing is that most people think that if they lost lane the game is over, doesn't matter mid is 3/0 game is over couse it's not them stompcarrrying the game ergo lets open mid/ff20

The only times I say "ff at 20" Is when the game is just past the point of no return (something like 1-12 within the first 10 minutes) or when I get matched with a premade thats just blatantly trolling me.

Nothing is as "awesome" as having two people that are purposefully being a-holes, but refuse to surrender because it just annoys people more. Not a thing you can do about it.

On the flip side, I love dealing with flamers by not surrendering, forcing them to stay in the game, and just having fun to spite them. In fact, there was a time when my team's Nidalee started playing the flame and blame game, trolling and telling us to surrender, and because it was a norm, we just had dance parties with the enemy team to piss her off. It was glorious, since we had all come to the conclusion that we weren't gonna win anyways, but we kept her toxic ass in game for forty minutes. :'D

Note: all of us were solo, so it wasn't some premade shenanigans.

Not always. There's been plenty of times that I've been winning or won a game, but at the expense of having either a toxic flamer/rager, a troll, or someone who refuses to communicate or cooperate on the team. I mean, I'm glad I won, but the annoyance factor is still there.

Futhermore, don't queue up for a ranked game unless you know damn well you have at least an hour of time on your hands for it. The remake function only accounts for afks that happen up to 3 minutes at the beginning of the game.

I actually have a video capturing of two premade boys who claim to be lovers, one says he was boosted to Platinum, and down bot lane they begin feeding after my top laner duo said "guys chill and just use tower" to which they replied "they have a tower too, should we hug it?" ...

My duo just got quiet, but anyways I guess they planned to feed anyways because without anyone saying anything, or without warning, Miss Fortune goes "should I dc?" ... (around 8 minutes in and she actually has good CS and not too far behind with only 2 deaths and 1 kill.)

And then the Miss Fortune (platinum last season, I believe silver this season and apparently boosted in s5) says "let's feed babe" to which Viktor support replies with "ok weeeeeeeeee you can't stop our love" and begin running into the enemy tower.

For no reason. No aggravation. No insults were thrown at them. They weren't that far behind in the laning. Graves said "chill". Platinum Player. Welp.. only lost like 10 lp for it anyways....

Sadly, the people who will do that don't read this board. I did have one game where we had 2 AFKers. We kept fighting, and then they had an AFKer. Then they had another AFKer. Then we had a 3rd afker. Yes. At the end of the game, it was 2v3. We lost, but it was very close in the end. Never forget that if your team has an AFK person, they can have one pop out of nowhere as well.

Now, I wouldn't go that far. If it's at the point where morale is so low that the team isn't interested in cooperating, there are trolls deliberately trying to lose, everyone is flaming each other, etc., then having the opportunity to surrender and move onto the next game is good, especially if the enemy team is not ending quickly.

After in 10 out of 15 games having a feeding toplaner (0-5 or worse at 10 minutes), i begun to just say "plz open mid" when toplaner gives up firstblood - and if my team doesn't, i'll just feed to get the game over ASAP. I'm extremely good at stalling games, but if i get yet another shit toplaner, there is no point - especially when he has a snowball champ like Panth or Rengar. Effective 4v5 and loss after 35 min.... Rather open mid and hope i get a top without severe brain damage (although rare)
