Just first time something or play off meta. They aren't breaking the rules by banning ur champ and you aren't either by playing ap miss fortune top lane :)
the only way to get banned for trolling is to straight up run it down mid 40 times in a row to begin with.

Have done this before, and carried. Not AP MF, but old Evelynn top lane, new Evelynn support, etc. Shaco support is one of my favorites.
i'm 2/0 with kha'zix support on my smurf
As an Irelia main, I agree.
Its honestly sad to see so many Irelia bans, especially since she needs to be praticed and isn´t Ban/Pick, just new.
I feel you as the Brother of a Ornn Main
Doesn't matter if the reason she's pick/ban is because she's new. She's still picked a lot and I'm tired of seeing her every other game. It's gets repetitive, like Lee Sin being in every game in older seasons.
understandable
I want to upvote but you're a Teemo player...I'm so conflicted [sg-janna]
I'm sorry but there's more to consider than whether or not your teammate wants to pick a certain champion, not to mention that everyone is entitled to ban any champion they don't feel comfortable having on their team. If I ban a certain champion every game because I am not good at playing against it (Vayne for instance in my particular case), and I see you are last pick, I'm still banning that champion. The risk of the enemy acquiring said champion is not worth it. Not only will I have a more difficult time carrying the game (if there was any possibility at all), I can't trust that the other person who wanted that champion can carry without it either.
Then there's personal preference, in meta's where I think there aren't any real counter threats. there are champions that I do not feel comfortable playing with. For me, this would by far be Ezreal. I usually play champions which are hard engage champions that cannot back out of fights easily (such as Diana and Vi). When playing with Ezreal as marksman, I am almost guaranteed to die every single time I engage because Ezreal is a poke champion who cannot respond immediately in all-in situations. Knowing before the game starts, that I am going to be miserable the entire game if my teammate selects Ezreal, I am not even chancing it. Thus, even if they want to play Ezreal I am not going to be sympathetic to it, and I'm going to ban it away.
If someone bans my champion it doesn't upset me. Even if someone has no other reason outside of 'not liking that champion', I'd much rather pick something my teammates can play with and will give me a better chance of winning the game. More players need to stop being selfish and think like this because it's part of teamwork and being a team player. Picking something out of greed, just because you want to play it -- while others on your team cannot play with it. is a bad mentality and also poor sportsmanship.

If you are really that concerned about people's picks you have the option to pick something that complements it. Banning people's picks on average only tilts them and actually reducing your own odds of winning a game instead of just letting them have their pick. Most cases people will intentionally throw the game just to get back at you.

I don't care if they troll. I'll probably end up carrying them anyways and then I'll just report them after the game is over. The majority of the time however, most players do not troll despite what you believe. The majority of players are actually understanding people and will just play something else. The only time I've ever seen someone troll after getting their champion banned is when the person who did it said in the chat "I don't like your name so I banned your champion", which clearly was provoking them.
Banning someones intent is eaqual as wrong as playing ap mf top.

Cant really report people for not picking meta picks so good luck with that and no you wont carry in this meta where your teammates actually matter.

A lot of it comes down to intent. That's the part where it's difficult for someone to decide between right and wrong. If someone can give a valid reason behind why they feel the need to ban a champion despite someone else wanting that champion, why should they be punished? When someone bans another persons champion out of spite or because they feel like "trolling" their team, then they should most definitely be punished.
There's no difference here than looking at players who are feeding. If a player dies 20 times, but he was simply getting camped by the enemy team, should he be punished? Probably not. If someone dies 20 times because he decided to run it down mid 10 times in a row, then that player absolutely should be punished.
If the player doesn't say anything in the chat, you cannot prove their intent and thus there's really nothing that can be done (in the case of them banning a champion another player wants).

I had the pick intented When someone bans an intended pick I say its griefing, okay? even if the champion is not viable only time i ban the declared champ ( I do this once a month at most) is when my teammate is last pick and wants something completely busted

Like i said before banning them out is only going to perform worse. If you do not care about it by all means do it to your heart's content, its your elo.

At what point does it make a difference? In lower tiers, all the players generally are less skilled at the game. Even if they are playing something they do not know as well, they're mostly going to play around the same level as they would on the champion that they wanted. When you're talking around Plat and Diamond tier (can't speak for higher but it's likely the same), most players are capable of playing more than one champion (even OTP's) at their level. Even spamming one champion, they would have had to use more than one champion to get that far up the ladder. If you can find someone in Diamond who only has games on one single champion then please post it, because I've never seen it in my 5+ years of playing this game.
If you're talking about someone trolling, most players do not. I have no idea what gives you this idea, but rarely do I ever see players trolling even under the worst circumstances. There's maybe 1 in 50 games (or even more) where I encounter someone who is actually trolling. That might even be shooting high, because I haven't had a troll in one of my games in a long time (and I'm Silver tier). Your own mentality is probably a big part of whatever the problem is you are having.

Talking in circles, low elo is also more likely to troll. the difference is someone running it down mid and someone not running down mid. Want to know what gives me that idea? the past 2 weeks people have banned someone's pick 4 times, in those 4 times i won 0 of them games and of those 4 times it was specifically because the person who's pick got banned trolled. Its almost like you do not know this community.
Teemo is a god awful useless champion. I'd rather have a autofilled Maokai top lane than a Teemo one trick. At least the Maokai will get beefy and be useful.
On the flip side I can see your point. Banning someone's intended pick is a dick move and all it's going to do is demoralize the player and the team.

The fact you're perm banning a C tier ADC with a 48% win rate is actually quite sad.
Leaving
open...
Then you pick something squishier. You build squishier. Your LP is never worth giving into bullies. If someone is trying to force you to play their game, say fuck it and spite them. Clearly they care way more than you, so you have the power. They want to ruin your fun, ruin theirs. It’s not trolling if you try and make it work. I’m not saying throw, but try it out. Win win situation. Either you win with your fun pick and get to laugh at your teammate for being an asshole And gain lp, or you lose and know he’s raging to his friends about him being in silver because of trolls.
Or you know, don't declare anything.
I actually kind of hate this too though, because that way I can't get a feel for the team's direction and pick something to compliment it.
if that ever happens again just hover
with cleanse and ghost and say "snowman".
If you are going to play something off-meta or trollish (and quite honestly Teemo support is an aweful, and I normally love off-meta picks), then do not declare or you are asking for it. I frequently ban yasuo because I do not want to vs one, but I also don't want my team picking him and feeding the other team, although I do not ban if they declare because it is really a dick move. Even though it is a dick move, not really much you can do about it without causing larger problems.
I got that they were a single lane because they said their support was the one that demanded a tank XD
If you tried to pick teemo I would do the same.
The first thing a Teemo main would teach you would be not to declare Teemo in champ selects.
It is suggested that to have your teammates pick around Teemo you have to declare Kayle who has a relatively similar kit.
Also never volunteer for a champion swap if you intend to play Teemo. I have, albeit in rare occasions, been forced to play some other champion.
Banning teammates picks should be a reportable and bannable offense.
But, of course, riots ban system does absolutely nothing to punish or deter griefing unless they say things in chat.
While we're at it, make sure you put a pick intent out there, that way I can see what everyone is going for and can base my own pick/bans on that info to maximize my chances of winning.
I fucking hate going into a lobby and I'm the only one showing a pick intent...
[slayer-jinx-unamused]
If they openly state that, report them.
Good game eh
[deleted]
I mean... try playing a real support?
The sad thing is that this is true.
RIot cares more about punishing people for saying "mean things" that can be muted anyway, as opposed to outright ruining games.
Why even bother telling your feeding ADC to stop playing like shit and improve his bronze tier csing when I can just say "fuck it" and AFK farm jungle as my base gets torn up and spam ping the ADC whenever he dies with zero punishment. The former is punishable whereas the latter is significantly more tilting and literally never gets punished.
Good thing i've never done this [slayer-jinx-wink]
no
Make me.
Let's keep it simple, when it's a normal game I don't even ban champions.
In ranked I usually ban a champ that gives me trouble ( currently Olaf ) unless if someone hits 3-4 marks
If you meet most of those conditions then I can't promise you I won't ban your champion.

- I see a champion that's well known for doing poorly in my current division
- The champion is new or recently reworked
- Such player has no history in ranked playing as that champion
- That player has no history playing that champion recently or ever.
- You pick a champion that according to your stats you perform poorly on.
If you meet most of those conditions then I can't promise you I won't ban your champion.
im a teemo main and have over 150 games on him...
Yeah In that case I wouldn't ban your Champion. One of my duo friends plays teemo and he's awesome af. I wasn't talking about your specific case but rather how I feel about the topic. I'm kinda suprised I got downvoted so hard... I guess you guys don't mind someone first time katarina mid against a Zed per example in your games
Thnx for the tip. This is what I will do Until they fix matchmaking
Anytime i banned a hovered pick its a legit accident, but there are times when I really want to do it purposely. I have to force myself not to ban Nasus when someone on my team wants to use him because I really dont feel like playing a entire game 4v5 while hes top lane all game playing his mini game just fighting minions and then decides to push when the enemy is wrecking our base.
i would have just went quinn top anyway
This is why I play with premades. We discuss who we want to ban, and generally don't ban each other's picks unless they wanna play a strong champ and theyre last pick (i.e. Kai'Sa or something)
How do you think I feel as a Zed and yasuo main?
i wont, unless ur pick is irelia, i never wanna experience that, to hold on to the hope that rito knows what they're doing
Good thing he banned Teemo support.
