Udyr Q has been so overbuffed that nobody even puts points in his R anymore. despite his R getting also buffed a few months ago
His Q might as well execute people above 1% health immediately. its really fucking silly. its like fighting a person with a triforce at level 3

Okay, speaking from a Main's point of view.
His Q is indeed strong Level 1 to 9. But he falls off really hard if he isn't ahead(i.e getting fed enough to buy a 1.5 item known as triforce).
So why is he strong ? Because most Jungler being played are Duelists. R is bad against Duelist. R is good against tanks, but it is abysmally weak as it doesn't do % damage. Also we are in a "One-Shot meta", that is very early game oriented. About getting first towers at 10 and rotating to get herald and snowballing from there.
He is easily countered by Autoattack blockers and CC. If you play Jax, Nocturne, Pantheon, Rhaast or anything thereof he is basically a sitting duck. He is weak against scaling tops(Trynd, Fiora, Irelia, Camille and etc), and he is super weak vs an enchanter mage like Lulu and Janna with a hyper carry. Perma slows and constant cc fucks him, even if he has 50% tenacity from L:T, Unflinching and Mercs.
He doesn't scale well late. His Q is single target damage. He has no gap closer. And doesn't scale or synergizes with many items(as he used to, due to his items being reworked or removed(Old Bork, Zephyr)).
I sweat beads if I don't have an inhibitor tower before 25 minutes, as the Grouping phase is the worst performing time for him.
Udyr gets kited pretty badly. He has no gap closers.

He used to be wayyyyyy worse, to play Devil's advocate.
"Overbuffed" more like his R is garbage and reverting half of the nerf didn't make it any less
udyr is straight trash after 15 mins. Just don't feed him and respect his early.
They should either revert his most recent buff or nerf the ms speed he gets from bear stance. The recent 'q' buff makes him a REALLY strong split pusher, but it's too hard to punish him. Udyr is just overall too strong right now. Nerf him somewhere please Riot.
He needs a FULL Rework. I call him ChickenDyr because he ether can out right kill you no contest/counter/out play or he runs and you cant catch him.
What? Maybe you haven't played a long time. Udyr literally LOST 126% Scaling off Tiger Strike in Season 7. He LOST 10% Life steal in exchange for 1.5 of missing HP (many builds the life steal was stronger)

Here's the subtle truth about Udyr:
He's viable if he gets 3-4 kills pre level 7. He's trash if he doesn't.
His entire kit potential is around getting very early built boots, and a Triforce. If he can't get them before other champs get comparable items, he's Trash.
Anyone who can ranged slow/stun/root completely destroys Udyr.

You mean ChickenDyr? He ether can kill you no out play and cant run from or he runs from you with no chance to catch him.
He needs a FULL rework
Well people say u can kite him I hate playing against him tho , and there is no way to 1v1 him as a melee , tanky if you are a mage , the only way to kill him is with a mobile adc or of he decides to be like trick and goes 1v3 " even tho Trick actually wins a lot of 1v3s"

Udyr simply cannot catch people on bear alone, and building anything to increase his movespeed gimps his defensiveness as Turtle is only so strong. Hard CC him, or kite. It's very simple to kill an Udyr. His damage is ridiculous, and front loaded, for sure, bt he has very obvious counterplay.
