A supports message to you low-ELO players

Bloodhawk95··215 votes·7,656 views

Please, for the love of god, learn the difference between an engage, and me sacrificing my life to save you, and the rest of the team, because we have no way out otherwise. DO NOT, i repeat, DO NOT begin fighting the enemy team when your support turns around and blows all of his CC to give you a chance to get out alive.

EDIT: Some of you seem to think I'm a bad player, stuck in bronze. I'm not. If you were to spectate me, you would see how much influence i have in the game, not just mechanically and decision making, but vision control and map awareness as well. It's just, you cant hard carry as a support most games.

I was going to make a similar post about sac plays. The sac play is one that every support should know and be prepared to execute, but it seems like in low ELO your teammates want to turn around and die with you (no man left behind style), or they think you're trolling and threaten to report. No dumbass, you had a Udyr, Leona, and Lucian chasing you. You were dead, I blew my load and took your hits to save you, you're welcome shithead - and do NOT even thinking about reengaging right now or I will reach through the screen and bitch slap you.

Vayne suddenly ults and goes into melee distance of their tank.

Note: This actually happens when i have a Vayne in my team when i try to disengage with a stun.

Unstoppable Monk5 votes

This actually works as a play.

1 in 1000 plays, that is. As in 999 times the Vayne main feeds.

Supreme Senpai694 votes

"Oh boy a stun! Now I can get a kill!" -totally forgot they were being chased. "Sigh report noob support going into a 1v3"

earlier today i got my adc really fed as blitz (vs a lucain) and i had to flash into thier lucains ulti to block it for my adc. i died. but my adc lived with low heath to get the ace on them for the win.

at the end my adc said "noob blitz wasted flash just to die.."

On this topic, as a Singed main, if I'm getting five people on me... Just leave me and go do Dragon.

Unstoppable Monk3 votes

Seriously, why do they think going through the enemy jungle to help a 1v5 is a good idea?

Even if dragon isn't up that's definitely a tower. Instead I see that the first tier mid turret is still at nearly full health.

Madra8 votes

I always thought this was the sign to fire up the Street Fighter midis and trickle in one at a time?

"You low elo players" -coming from a bronze 1 rank. Funny.

delonix24 votes

Why would the OP care about what low elo players are doing if he or she wasn't a low elo player?

GenghisEmo6 votes

Well, he is right XD.a good tip isnt bad even froma bronze,

HyperAnko4 votes

I'm not saying he's wrong. I only disagree with the title of this thread.

GenghisEmo3 votes

The part "you low elo", yes, that isnt needed XD

theArtifacts5 votes

This. All of it.

Meanwhile...in bot lane

ADC over extends. Support goes in to save. Both get ganked from enemy jungle. Support turns back, stops them from killing adc, but dies himself. ADC: "STOP FEEDING"

LOL hahahaha sup life sucks. But i see this all the time as Ali, naut, kennan, morg, fiddle, etc Do not ever rely on teamates in low elo. Make this mistake once shame on them twice you are a dumbass. Play to carry not to help team till high silver. They are scrubs so you have to carry them

Bloodhawk953 votes

I try to play support every game, my best role, and the funnest for me, i loooove vision control.

Honestly, i do carry my team, even as the support. If i play hook supports or someone like a morgana for easy picks, its generally because of me the team has the kills. But i will KS on purpose because i know for a fact, the gold will be more effecient on me than some random bronze scrub who has already shown me he isnt good.

I was going to upvote this comment

but then i read the last line. To be honest, it really feels like your insulting yourself. You are bronze 1, you're there for a reason. I get not everyone is good in Bronze, but your not a god either

Fritterz16 votes

WHAT? I AM IN BRONZE 1 AND I KNOW THAT I BELONG IN DIAMOND! I AM A LEAGUE OF LEGENDS GOD! IT IS ONLY BECAUSE MY TEAMMATES FEED EVERY GAME THAT I AM STILL THIS LOW! ELO HELL IS REAL!

/sarcasm

But seriously, there is some truth to the concept of elo hell. Although a lot of it is based on your own skill and communication, a decent portion is just luck of who you are paired with.

Remlap12237 votes

OK, I was in the same boat as you for two years. But with pick intent and the new champion select, you have ZERO reason to call Bronze ELO hell anymore. If you can't figure out to never support in low ELOs, I don't know what to tell you. Eventually you'll get it and climb out in literally two days like I did, or you're going to be stuck getting tilted over noob teammates.

Honestly, don't even pick fill or support until you start hitting like Silver II or I. By then most of the ELO boosters and people who got carried to Silver will be weaned out from there, and since you're hitting pre-Gold, teamwork is more of a thing.

There's the two cents from someone who was stuck in Bronze for two years because he relied too much on his team and not upon himself. Does it sound bad for a team game? Absolutely. Am I wrong? Look at my rank. I was placed in Bronze III about two weeks ago, and now I'm almost out of Silver IV. When I do lose, I lose like 14 LP, and gain 27 for winning.

Fritterz2 votes

I have been silver the past two seasons. I would climb much faster if I had more time to play. I don't support. I can, but I don't if you looked at my match history or something, that was Morgana mid. (which is awesome.)

Bloodhawk951 votes

I havent had alot of time to play the game. I was in silver last season, but even then i didnt get to play as much as i wanted. And i don't try in ranked

IreliaCarrlesU4 votes

dont play ranked, if your not going to try.

AuraSilver3 votes

What I find worse is when you peel for them and they think that you're telling them to go in and blame you when they die.

I specifically remember a scenario where the adc was being attacked so I used my exhaust to get them to back off (and they did) since I knew they could easily kill them and I wasn't in a good position to do much else. They then decided that was their cue to re-engage, needless to say they died, and proceeded to whine about how I got them killed. Why? "Because I used exhaust on them and that means go in" ...

[zombie-brand-facepalm]

I mean, I know I'm not good at the game, but I'm pretty sure that's just idiotic. I know people make mistakes which is fine, but don't blame your support when you got yourself killed, especially when they just saved you before.

WhiteGuyWannaBe3 votes

Just play Zilean support. As your ADC goes down ult them and take off in different direction. Half the time the whole pack of them will take off after you. Then your ADC wakes up 3 seconds later and strolls off while you run half way across the map and back spamming laugh all the way with the entire enemy team on your tail.

StJohnSavage3 votes

I had one game where I ulted as bruam to save our yasuo from their 4 man death ball, and he ults into them and flames me for not helping him kill them...[zombie-brand-facepalm]

LSmaster164 votes

You do realize that true yasuo players have the r key taped down, right?

Diamond Frostman3 votes

Amen Brother,

Karma main and I hate ADC's that will run to facecheck a bush that they KNOW Annie is in and then blame me for the fact that Annie can burst through my shield and kill them. My shield doesn't turn you into Malphite XD

ZeeWolfZ2 votes

Also, don't play bard or Sona. You are low elo because of those.

U wot m8? Bard and Sona are probably the best poke supports out there right now as Brand got nerfed.

ZeeWolfZ1 votes

let me know when you get out of silver <3

OHminus1 votes

I have gotten out of it. I'm unranked now!!!! So much better than silver.

ahferroin72 votes

Same. If I'm the support, my job is to save you, not the other way around.

On the same note, people need to learn the difference between engaging and harassing the enemy. Just because I root or stun somebody doesn't mean you need to dive in and try to get a kill.

What annoys me even more is some of my friends who I've browbeaten about this still do it...

Dataless2 votes

I don't sacrifice myself for anyone anymore, if my ADC is too stupid to be overextended in lane and not promptly GTFO when I ping the incoming jungle + mid gank they deserve to die. Bard Portal out homies, I have better things to do than babysit a moron.

KoggyStyle1 votes

i said this about taking nid spears for people as a tank and getting chunked.... aram but yeah.....

It's only worth letting the support die if they're at a lower level than the adc (assuming no one is on a killing spree obviously). Which is usually the case anyways, but not always. If the adc is at a lower level than their support, they're actually worth less gold than the support.

That isn't based on level. It's based on how much you kill/die.

Hexadus1 votes

Voice chat would stop all the confusion.

Actually xPeke3 votes

not at all, i have had plenty of times where my friend dies because i try to save his life lol

If I'm in voice chat with friends and that happens I always say " fly you fools!" Because it's too perfect
